Afternoon!
Lav - good going on saying "no", it's not easy to do if you're lacking in self-confidence. Not long ago I saw a very good post on FB explaining how "no" is a complete answer all by itself and doesn't necessarily have to be explained or justified.
Fenny - it's interesting that you have no tv. I think I could live without it if need be, but would find it very hard to do without the Internet. Hope the work on your house will get done quickly, it's so hard to relax when there are workmen around.
Dotts - good for you, taking those classes at the library. Is the house you're selling the one you were brought up in? That would be tough. And well done on talking to the woman about leaving her dog in car. :goodjob:
Kradle - glad the block party went well.
Nora - your home must be overrun by animals! I'm another cat person and never had a dog (even as a child) until less than a year ago. I'm glad your son's suitcase arrived safely, if somewhat belatedly. Did he report back on how your mum is?
Cori - you did very well to make it to day 3 on Saturday, how is it going now? Here is the link to your cockatoo:

Sunny - that was a productive day you had yesterday! I'm extremely impressed with your many domestic talents, especially your ironing abilities! :H
Zen - I'm loving reading about life on Lewis. That is sad about the guy in the car. Did you find out how he is? I hope he'll be ok. Thank goodness it wasn't a school day with lots of young children around.
Nursie - I'm sorry you saw an accident too. Well done on not drinking at the barbecue.
Pauly, I took a leaf out of your book from yesterday and fell asleep this afternoon. Afternoon naps are so refreshing.
K9 - glad you both enjoyed the concert.
Liz - FWIW, I agree with the others about not allowing CJ's BF to stay so late.
Well, I had a pleasant weekend up at my mum's. We went to a festival thing celebrating local produce/talents/arts and crafts in a nearby park. There were a lot of people there, something that would have put me off going a year or two back, but I actually enjoyed myself wandering around looking at all the different stands.
