Off to the gym but my heart is NOT in it. Raining and gloomy and I would like to have stayed in bed.

Mama, is your boss not located in the same building as you? I'm wondering why you are phoning her and e-mailing her as this problem sounds like something that needs to be resolved face to face so that she can see your body language, and you can see hers. Could you not go and see her (arranging a time if necessary) and explain that you have no clue as to why she would think you are not in the same "canoe" as her, but you have a clear conscience and are not willing to continue working in such a bad atmosphere if she will not explain what the problem is. If she has a problem with you, you are entitled to know what you are supposed to have done wrong.

Pauly, I hope you can get the shakiness sorted.

Sunny, I understand what you and zenny mean about feeling slightly shameful about posting when you are struggling if everyone else seems to be doing well, although you really shouldn't. I feel a bit awkward posting about where I am with alcohol, partly because unlike most people here I am not currently actually trying to stop drinking completely. I basically drink beer during the last hour or two of my day. It helps me to sleep. It's not a perfect situation, but it sort of works for me and my circumstances and it is vastly better than drinking whisky all day long as I used to do.

You must have your hands full with 3 dogs! I only have the one, amy, who is 13 months old. She started on the natural food today and seems to approve. :goodjob:

Got my car back from the repair shop this afternoon. The stuff coming out of the exhaust was sound deadening material from the silencer. The mechanic replaced the silencer for a very reasonable cost and all is well again.

I expect the next reccie-mobile will be Japanese, fenny, though I could not tell you exactly what make or model it will be at this stage. Need to do some research on the subject. Hope you have a good weekend at the cabin.

Beloved Mr. Bear - my boss is in Houston Texas. I am in Jacksonville, FL. A 4 hour plane flight. Thanks for the kind words. When we finally do talk, I will have notes prepared from comments made here. (And not the ones from hubby!!)

Hi there - I agree re the heat - right now our heat index is 105 !!! It is awful out there ... but we have been so lucky this year with the temps - we usually get this for a lot longer and a lot sooner than now !

MB - that is just plain weird about your boss - but yes I would definitely ask what it is that you have done seeing as YOU have no idea ! I hate when someone is like that but won't tell you why - very juvenile. You are not in the playground any more ...... you are in CANOES - LOL. Seriously do you usually deal with your boss via phone and e-mail - can you face-time or Skype or something ???

Reccy - so pleased that you got your car back and the damage wasn't too awful. Had they heard of that happening before ? Did they say if it happens a lot ?

Thanks for letting me know about the AL - and no worries about worrying 'cos you are not having a struggle right now - you now, are the way I used to be when I decided that I needed to stop - LOL. I drank every day which I didn't like. And even though it was only two Guinness (the only thing I drink pretty much), to me it was a problem 'cos it WAS every day and I couldn't stop. Now it has gone up -and four isn't enough - which is why I have to stop. But if you are comfortable with the amount and what you drink, then that is fine - folk used to tell me that I didn't have a problem 'cos I only drank 2 - but I felt as if I did - and it is how WE feel about it that counts - right ? I wish I could drink like you do - that would be great. I think it is good that you can do that .....

Oh gosh Dottie - I cannot imagine a yard sale in this heat and humidity! Poor you .... good for you going to the gym. I pulled out another 2 tomato plants this morning to stop the dogs getting to them. Still have two more plants that I thought were safe - but hubs saw one of the dogs squeezing through the wire !!

Reccie - I had a Saturn that I loved (don't think you have them in UK) and they stopped making them - finally I decided we had to replace it even though I loved it - anyway we got me a Toyota Rav and I do like it. Years ago, we had a Toyota and I do like them ....

Pauly - how long have you been taking Campral ? does it help with the AL? Do you think it is causing your shakiness? Is that a SE ?? I don't think anyone thought you were making excuses to drink ..... :l

I have been busy in the kitchen today - made a zucchini pineapple cake and then a layered effort that has different beans, and salsa, and onions then the whole thing is topped with hash browns and put in the oven - it is smelling pretty good.

Back to work tomorrow - I do not feel like going in at all - I am enjoying my semi-retirement and tomorrow is upsetting it !!

Dh brought in a couple of pounds of tomatoes and there are more that need to turn red....I have them in a cage but some little bugger gets in....

Pauly- the campral didn't do a thing for me, but I don't remember side effects. Topa and Bac, however, made me miserable.
That's odd about the tomatoes!
Thanks for being there for me today. Pretty miserable. Cold silence all day long, to the stupid extent of ignoring Facebook posts that she used to be all over. Whatever....
Gonna eat and watch something funny on Netflix.
And Sun, no those options are not available to me. She won't talk to me. Period.

Dottie - usually the tomatoes do not bother them - our other dog LOVED them and would eat them all the time - but I think they are eating too many - and do not discriminate between the red and the green - they are just being piggy as they are not being sick all the time - just now and then!

Maybe it is squirrels getting your toms ? We feed the birds so have bird food out all the time and the squirrels leave the tomatoes alone. I have got a ton of green ones on the windowsill now from the plants I pulled this morning .... and a lot of red ones that I am going to make sauce with tomorrow - in the Vitamix !! Thank you so much for telling me about that - it works a treat!!

MB - sorry that my suggestions are not an option - I would be quite upset that she won't even tell you what you have supposedly done !!
