ONE STEP AT A TIME... AUGUST, 2014

Good morning everyone and welcome TMH! We are glad you've joined us...nope, we're not perfect, but we DO try and we're always here for each other...plus sometimes we're pretty funny! :H

OMG Pauly I laughed so hard at your "big enough to hide a body" comment, now that would have been funny to put, although you might have had a knock at your door from the po-po. LOL

I agree with you guys that the guy is kinda stalking me. I woke up this morning to 4 texts, sent at 12:00am, 12:30am and 1:00....and keep in mind that he is 2 hours ahead of me, so that means he was up at all hours doing lord knows what. The funny thing is that yesterday I had a message from another guy from High School. This one I actually dated. Wonder what's in the air that's making all these guys come out of the blue? They're probably all getting divorced or something. LOL

The potluck was a huge success yesterday, we had over 60 people show up. I got stuck sitting next to the Mayor. I just can't escape that guy. LOL

I'm so happy I get off at 4pm today, and Monday is a holiday....I really need to clean my house this weekend but I just dont wanna!!!

Mama - How's 'Tucky and Jack-In-The-Box doing? Will you get a temp while she's out on maternity leave?

Fenny - Congrats on the house! Moving IS hard, but kinda fun too...although I have no desire to do it anytime soon!!

    Back later peeps!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Fenny, it might not be such a bad thing that the house moving is happening so quickly. As you say, it's as a very stressful experience, so maybe getting it over and done with as quickly as possible will be good for you?

I'm similar to you in that I have to have a certain amount of alone time every day or I start becoming grumpy. Unlike sunny, I ALWAYS come home to an empty house and most of the time this suits me very well, but just occasionally I wish there was someone to come home to.

Commiserations to those of you suffering with heat and humidity at the moment. We certainly don't have any of that here, in fact I think it's safe to say that our summer is well and truly over. :upset:

That's a bit worrying about your hubs, pauly. I hope he'll be ok. How old is he?

Good to see you nora. Fenny has a point, maybe you need a proper break?

A street party sounds fun dottie.

Hey, thanks so much for all the welcomes! Love it. Got a 4 mile run/walk in, little bit of biking, and phoned my friend. We agreed we need to stay in touch more often.

Boy, I hear you on the 24/7, needing time alone bit. I mean I know there are people who live alone and are lonely. I'm right up there with those of you who need alone time everyday. Vacations are rough! Presently have the best of worlds as my dh still consults for company he retired from so he actually goes away everyday to another condo in our same community. We bought a 2nd one out of foreclosure and use it for guests, and he offices there. Perfect.

K9, fun to hear about all your beaus! How did they find you? Well, I guess that's not too hard to do nowadays. As everyone says....be careful.

Well, off to do a bit of dusting and vacuuming. No going out tonight, planning a salmon dinner and have a 7:48a tee time on Sat. Want to feel fantastic! And will if one gets a good night's sleep which is my main issue with going AF. Tips welcome.

              Hi TMH,

My potential stalkers all found me on Facebook. LOL :H I may be the only person that doesn't have a hard time sleeping after becoming AF. If I take Melatonin I am out like a light all night long...well, with some annoying text messages beeping in my ear now and then, but I can always easily go back to sleep. LOL

I agree that "me" time is important. Since it's just me and Sierra at home, I get A LOT of it. She's very busy, as most 17 year olds are. Even when she's home she's in her room doing teenage type things. lol

And yes Pauly, your husband is 45...I did the math for you. HA

TMH,i take a melatonin product called"midnite"i just melt it under my tongue and it kicks in about half hour later, jeez,i spent 50 bux at 99 cents only! i'm kinda peeved, but most of it was stuff i needed, feel a little melancholy without Brady here,to used to having him home with me on Friday,so sometimes an empty house is sad

Pauly - You are the only other person I know that can EASILY spend $50 at the 99c store! I used to do that all the time, but lately I haven't shopped anywhere at all!!! I used to have a nice supply of products on a shelf in my garage, but it has dwindled down to nothing. I may have to use dog shampoo as body wash for a while. :H

Your lifestyle sounds extremely healthy apart from the drinking, tmh. :goodjob:

Sleep is one of the biggest issues I have with going AF as well. Melatonin didn't work for me, unfortunately. Nor did anything else the doctor prescribed, for that matter.

Um...your hubs is 44, pauly, he'll be 45 in December.

I know,K9, it's disgusting to be able to spend so much there, but some of it is grocery related, paper towels, napkins etc,but i didn't"need"mini apple pies and the can of whipped cream or the brownies haha, thanks for the math Reccie, jeez i never thought i'd hear those numbers,i still think of 40's being my parents ages,oh well, time marches on i guess

Welcome TMH! We love new family members.
Tucky is huge and miserable, K9. I have a part timer that will go full time when Bri leaves.
Off to get some laundry done.
Fen, Grant just got his AA degree and is starting a four year program in Fire Management. Clay is starting his freshman year. Thanks for asking.
TMH, I am on Jacksonville. Are you close?
I NEVER get alone time, but hubs is pretty good about letting me zone out on Netflix.
Niner, stay away from that creep. He's starting to worry me.

Hubbs had redeemed himself. Speakers were cutting out again so he finally went over to take a look. Well seems new dogs crate is close to the wires so in his spare time he chewed the wires thus creating a short. So he cut the chewed up parts out and spliced the wire back together...works just fine...OK 1 for hubbs...hot tub still not working but electrician comes on Tuesday... I will take the good things where I can find them.
