Need a word update: they actually gave one in the story, but really not imaginative:
The particular deliciousness of fat little babies, especially their legs (there is actually a Filipino word ? ?gigil? ? which describes the urge we feel to pinch or squeeze something irresistibly cute): ?chubulent?.
And while I'm on the Guardian site: a view from the other side:

And yes yes yes on the puppy smell!
Fairy cakes, nice!
Lucy - is her surname Starr or Diamond by any chance?
Off to our version of friggintesco, laters!14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

While we're on words - do you know the book The meaning of Liff? They - Douglas Adams and friends - basically had a look at the map of the UK, saw all these words (place names) that were doing nothing besides naming places, so they started ascribing qualities to the place names, with hilarious results. Like the feeling when you sit on a toilet seat that had been warmed up by the person there before you. Great fun to read on the loo, I've found.14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

Just spent last 4 hours in ED with DD.
Has had stomach pains for 2 weeks - got particularly bad this morning - so off we went.
Keeping her in overnight and having a scan at 4.30.
It's a private hospital and it's only when they admit you that the healthcare kicks in.
It's lovely down there so happy days get it looked into besides paying a doc ?60 each visit as she has been doing.
The fun never ends here chez Satz
