Army thread Sunday 10 August 2014
Good evening anyone still about :hallo:
Quick squizz back over todays thread so apologies if miss anything xx
Sorry to hear about the DD Satz- hope they can get to bottom of her pain ASAP xx It does sound like a good service that she has had a scan already. Did I see that young Satz is back too? Is it for a visit or for good?
Glad to see Molls post:l Hope yer ok lovely woman- ye seem a bit quiet?
Sorry that yer not feeling great Foxy:l Maybe ye should pay the GP a visit and discuss yer symptoms and feelings?
Hey Dreamy, Roxy n Ms JackieHow the feck can yis remember what the moon/sky was like in 1999?! I'm in awe
That was the year I became a fully fledged Florence Nightingale- all memories of that time are v hazy. Much vino was on the go.
Really think I am a jinx in work- seems they were quite nice when I was off. Over the weekend have had quite a few sickies and lost one poor soul tonight- may he RIP. My paranoid head says why do they wait til Im on to go get sick and then die((
Still cant 'cope' with this aspect of my job and did think of some wine tonight to ease my discomfort. Needless to say instead of wine I've just put away a massive bar of hazelnut chocolate( Oh and my friend who's receiving chemo for the breast cancer was admitted to another hosp over weekend with sepsis and low blood count, have only been able to talk with her over the phone. This once strong and able woman is reduced to tears and weakness at the mo- she just sounds so fed-up and hopeless. Hate not being able to do anything to ease these feelings for her:upset: It's so fuckin cruel. Have a day off tomorrow so plan to go visit her and at least give her a hug.
Sorry for the rambling tonight folks just getting it off the chest so to speak.
Hopefully chat with yis tomorrow xx

Came to have a last look before turning out the light sweets. My complaint about the moon not being very big is rather silly after what you've just written.
Can imagine all these ill people checking your rota so they can check out on your watch. Making light of it but I know it's sad. Nursing them with compassion is a help to them and their family.
Being there on the phone or in person is a big comfort to your friend, know that.
Hazelnut chocolate is good for you. It is.
