Morning everyone ..... was looking at the pics again Zen ..... SIGH. It really is beautiful where you were. And YOU are nothing like I thought you would look !!!! It is so funny how we get an idea of each of us in our heads .....

MB - glad you had a lazy day yesterday. we all need those now and then.

Oh - and I am not exactly retiring now - just sort of .....

Liz - Happy Birthday to your son - yes they grow up so quickly - cannot believe mine are around 30 !! Have fun sorting stuff out - sounds like me and my hubs when I do it .... he is so worried I will chuck out stuff I shouldn't.

Nursie, glad that you had a good day at the fund raiser yesterday. You sound as if things are going pretty well right now -

I am feeling pretty low - no details but Hubs and I had a huge row - and we SO rarely row ..... not sure where this is going. I know it is going to take some time to sort out/get over. He is a total heel.

Anyway - I am off out with my daughter - got to get away.....

Morning all,
Off to the gym then doggies go to the vet for shots. I think they over do the shots for dogs but I cant board them or take to training without them. I haven't gotten shots for the cats since they were little. And they are just fine but don't go out.
Cool and beautiful here today. I love the changing of seasons.

Got the worst part of today's work out of the way and now waiting to hear the outcome. I hate being in the middle of money transactions when I know the people concerned.

Sunny... Make hubbs his fave dish for dinner and all will be forgotten. I find using a tablecloth works wonders too! What date do you go home?

I've drank enough coffee to floor 4 people... and I'm still zorsted. Sleep is not my friend since I got back. I'm going to take REALLY drastic measures tonight.

Fenny, there is absolutely no judging going on. I am certainly in no position to judge anyone over their drinking or anything else for that matter. The sentiment behind my post was that, like mama, we are all ready to support nora in whatever way we can. I hope and believe that to be the case. My post was meant to be encouraging, with a bit of good-natured humour thrown in. I know I can be a bit clumsy with words at times, but hopefully nora will take my post in the way in which it was intended.

I'd like to swap weather and location with you today. I want to go for a long hike in cool temps in a scenic locale... and here I am with heat, humidity and a feckin concrete jungle. Not sure how much longer I can "do" this lifestyle for. It doesn't feed my soul. No clue how I would make ends meet back home though... catch 22.

I think I might as well finish off the pot of coffee now... good grief... I'd usually be twitching but I don't feel a thing I'm so sleep deprived! If I was you Reccy, I'd get over to Words... reckon you'd shellack me!!! :H

Sigh. I'm relieved that no judging is going on. So much posting takes place on the weekends, and I am unable to keep up with most of it on my balky tiny phone screen.

I am scurrying to locate house title and other stuff...

Yes, Reccie, I was at the cabin this weekend. So much zucchini in the garden, it's coming out my ears! As this was my first year growing veggies, I had NO IDEA how prolific that particular plant can be.

Back in a bit...I need to search for legal documents...and Mrs. Fen's filing system leaves a lot to be desired!

I saw a really nice baked zucchini recipe on FB and went to find it for you, but it's lost in the newsfeed rubbish. It was basically cut into strips with olive oil, garlic and fresh herbs (thyme and sage I think), baked in the oven.

I sympathise on the concrete jungle zenny. Would you really return home if you were able to? Although we're having a pleasant couple of days weather-wise at the moment, I'm finding the lack of sunlight hard to cope with and would emigrate if I could.

Fenny, speaking of zucchini, while walking up the lane yesterday I noticed not one, but two houses with boxes of them out front inviting passers by to help themselves for free. They must indeed be prolific growers.
