Good morning my friends. Hard to believe its Labor Day already. Probably just going to hang in the pool. Bad day for me yesterday. CJ had a fit with me over some missing souvenirs. Long freaking story but I had nothing to do with it! She doesn't usually flip out but boy did she. I'm tired, I drank and I'm puffy from crying. I've missed you all. I will pull myself together and check in later.

Mama, I have a sis in the Minneapolis area, which is quite a drive from me...but baby sis lives an hour south of me. Might as well be in outer Mongolia, however. She can never commit to help with mom, so rather than feel resentful all the time, I have dropped all expectations of her and rely on my best friend here in town to assist with mom.
Reccie, you are so sweet...it doesn't escape me that you take time to read all posts, and acknowledge every one of them.
I do hope the house sells quickly. I know the market isn't awesome yet, but this house is zoned as a two flat, and one could easily owner occupy one floor and rent out the other, this taking care of the mortgage payment easily. It's solid and impeccably maintained.

Mama :l haven't see the crab boil pics yet but sounds like a blast. I understand about hubs. Sometimes I ask mine what it's like to be a non problem drinker among so many of us 'problems...?' It makes for some good insights and also helps me to feel less resentful that he can buy a bottle of expensive whiskey and still have half a bottle a year and half later....
30 days Okay?
Liz hugs and hands to you. :l something else is eating at CJ sounds like. Our children test us don't they? Here for you sweet woman:h
Hopefully a lazy day today. But if the weather clears up then the kids want to go tubing... I don't .....oh well... high Class problem for sure.
Where is ALSSWELL by the way???? Do we need to send out the dogs...???
No drinking today or tonight......love you all:l:hOn My Own Way Out Since May 20, 2012

Happy Labor Day! Home after the golf and a big picnic type lunch. Our golf partners kept bringing up drinking during our game, the beverage cart came by a few times. Dh & I just kept drinking our Arnold Palmers, then at lunch sitting at a table of 7, only 1 guy had a beer. Why do I notice? Beats me. Our team won our flight for the 3rd year in a row; we split $100 winnings.
Another cancer survivor here. 11 yrs now.
Congrats, Dot, on a full year! I enjoy your dry comments about what an exciting life you lead. It is just that type of thing that holds me back from saying no drinking again forever. Yet I have been out with friends, being only one not drinking and still had a good time. (((Sigh))))
Pauly, that is great you hit 30 days! You mentioned a bit of feeling blah. I would think you would feel absolutely wonderful. Anyway, congrats on getting those 30 days done! Keep it going.....says the one who manages 14 or 15 days now & then.
Thanks for letting me join you. Til tomorrow...
