One Step at a Time - September 2014

    Morning!

Sunny, sorry you've been having a rough time. I completely understand about not wanting to talk. Not talking is my usual response when things aren't going well, but it's usually better when we do talk and there are lots of folks here who would like to help. :l

Liz, sorry abut the wobbliness on the drinking front.

Kradle, well done on not giving in to temptation last night. :goodjob:

Mama, you're sleeping with nessie now?!! Wonder if niner will have anything to say about that?! How is your back today?

Nora, I'm sorry you're having a bad time with the drink. Can you take the AB today to try and break the cycle? You really must try to find a way to give yourself some time away from it all. I think zenny got it right the other day when she said something about her sanity being more important than the money. As for Words, I've just been incredibly lucky with my letters so far, that won't last for ever.

Zenny, I'm glad your disappearance made an impact. Don't feel guilty about asking bill to shut the door, he should consider himself lucky to still be living in your home after some of the things he's got up to. That was an interesting 7-letter word you made! I sense another beating is on the cards for me already.

Oh, and the talk about "women's stuff" doesn't bother me in the slightest, BTW, so there's no need for any concerns on that score.

Fenny, you made me laugh with the "drive-by pats" for mrs fen's feline!

Sorry about the bad night, dotts.

    :hallo: to everyone else.

Time for some lunch. Pasta, methinks.

    Happy POETS day to all.

Hey all - thanks for all the support - yes I do agree that it helps to talk things through but sometimes things cannot be talked through - sometimes one needs to wait and see what an outcome is ...... it seems that life is sort of throwing a lot of stuff at me right now and all I want to do is to curl up and hibernate. Some of the stuff is sorting itself - like hubs and I - that is fine now. I know it seems a silly thing to say but I like boring ..... and right now a lot of silly stuff is going on plus one big thing and I am not talking about the big thing until I know more .....I am not trying to be dramatic - just do not want to give voice to it.

I am enjoying reading all your posts - they make me smile ..... so I am here :l

Got to get ready for work .... have a lovely day everyone,

      hugs, sun XXX
How simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

              Hi Everyone!

YAY Nora...she TTFP!!!! Woot woot! You go guuurl! Love you :h I am still taking mine too, which guarantees me an AF weekend. Maybe, just maybe, I will actually get some laundry and housework done this weekend? (No guarantees, just a MAYBE). lol

Hi Sunni! Hope you're OK, and we are here whenever you feel like talking. You just do what's best for YOU, and know that we're always in your corner!

So what is this I hear about my betrothed sleeping with Nessie? Geez, I am just getting pushed out! Don't make me get all cray-cray on you my beloved! :h

FT - Thanks for reminding us of checkers, I think most of us had forgotten that game even existed!

Reccie - I'm glad our "woman talk" doesn't bother you. It takes a REAL man to be comfortable talking about periods and menopause. LOL On that note, I am lucky to not have any symptoms. I have an implant in my arm which means I don't have a period or anything else. It lasts for 3 years, and I guarantee I will be getting another one in 2016!!!

Kradle - Good job on eating away the cravings! Who cares if you are 500 pounds and SWOLE, we still LOVE you girl!!!

Yesterday my mom took Sierra to the grocery store and stocked us up on some food and supplies. Sierra then made me a great turkey spaghetti dinner with garlic bread. She says she is going to start having dinner ready for me when I get home. YAY! I have felt like such a bum scraping up crap for us to eat lately. Plus whatever is left over I can just bring for lunch, instead of scraping that up too! My mom has been so generous with us lately...she has always wanted to help but my stubborn butt never would let her. Now I am just accepting her gifts and saying THANK YOU!!!

I might celebrate my sober Friday night by going to the thrift store!

Hope y'all have a great day, don't get too cray-cray! Love you guys :h
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Reccie, I am curious...what is Poppy's "lovin' style"?

My old kitty, Bob, used to be on my body at all times. She was fond of attempting to slip me the tongue and often groomed my hair so that it smelled appropriately like wholesome cat spit, rather than the nasty grooming products I used. Any moment not spent on my lap was a travesty to her.

Booty is so different...walking back and forth over my lap, getting the "drive by" pats, as I described... or, simply standing on my lap (faced away) so that I can pet her that way. While I am typing on the computer, she will rub her drooly lips and fangs on my hand.

                      What does Poppy do?

Nora! YAY! Ya TTFP! Nothing wrong with a pity party now and then. Again, it usually helps to get it out? right? XXX A problem shared is a problem halved and all that?

Sunny? Big hugs hon? XXX You do what?s best for yourself. I do think it?s good for you to stay connected on here though? us people don?t do well when we become too introspective, leads to all sorts of trouble imvho.

Mama? Does Nessie fit OK? They had the wrong size shirt in the damn bag, so hope she?s not cramping those 44Ls! I?d be careful with Niner though? you know how jealous she gets. Last thing you need is her going cray-cray and busting in on you and Nessie? just sayin?! (What girl couldn?t use a BOB?! And the more you describe ?Tucky, the more she sounds like her OITNB namesake!)

Reccy? Glad you?re not daunted by the ?wimmin talk?! 14 years at sea with mostly guys, I?ve had plenty of the opposite. I rather enjoy the female banter on the thread truth be told! Bill has now offered to go to a hotel when I need some space. Things are looking up!

Kradle? LMAO at you not wanting checkers unless there?s food in it for you!!! Bwahahaaa! Reminds me of that old joke? Q. How do you get a fat agoraphobic hillbilly out of her trailer? A. Grease her hips and throw a Twinky in the front yard. So NOT PC! :egad: No, I?m not flipping. I?ve flipped a couple of houses in the past though... I got stuck with this one when the market crashed and ended up just staying here. After my disappearance to the resort, Jim came up with the idea of buying a small fixer upper condo on the beach? keeping it for ourselves and guests to use. If we go ahead with it, I?ll use my credit rating when we buy it (strangely and against all odds, I have good credit), and I?ll do the work on it (also have interior design degree), and he?ll put up the money. :goodjob: It?s just an idea at this point. (Has the makings of an Octo-Orgy, complete with Blankie Fort!)

Niner? That?s really nice of your mum. It?s hard to accept things from them? but they really get a kick out of doing it to be honest. Makes them feel needed. Good news on the new cooking situation? your little girl is getting all growed up! Are you enjoying the new job?

Fenny? Bob sounds like she was so loving! Sean used to groom my hair too? what makes them do that? Well, groom isn?t the right word really? he?d make it into a matted mess! They?re all so unique, aren?t they?

Dotts? Sometimes crashing on the couch is just what the doctor ordered. How did the class go?

I have a headache. And a 2.00 appointment that I need to spruce up for. I want to be on the couch with you Dotts! Slept like crap myself last night.

That AB is quite tricky. Will it wear off or are you going to have to get into bed when you go home?
