I'll answer for Liz as she may not see YOUR post! He's getting ready to retire and he'll work the rest of his time from home. He's a chiropractor.

In other news......... da da daaaaaa............... I shaved my legs tonight. I know this shouldn't be made public knowledge, but I decided to see what it would be like if I didn't. I took my hairy legs out with a little black dress for Jim's birthday party! Haha. Can't do it... need to be smooth... Yep, I know... TMI. And where is Reccy???

That "overlap" on the main page... I'm getting that now too Fenny. I'm getting ready to throw my hands up truth be told. I re-subscribed but it's still no better. I'd hate to lose you all though.

They should have left the effing thing like it was.

The overlap thing returned for me...I guess switching back to Mozilla didn't help at all.

It's become annoying Fenny. What tickles me pink is that it's a site for addicts... people in distress! Well fookez moi... I am SO glad I'm not in distress right now! I'd be FUBARed! Not that I plan on being in distress any time soon... but you know what I mean.

                Sleepless in Seattle here...

Listen, I will always give someone a helping hand, no two ways about that... but I have to admit that my primary reason for logging into MWO at this point in time is connecting with you guys. XXX And it's not been the same lately imho. I am whinging at this point and I don't want to be selfish but I miss the old thread.

I would hate for us to lose contact with each other, and the thread is dwindling. Mama and Niner and Reccy and all the others not posting as they usually do isn't making me a happy camper. I miss the interaction when we were able to post without issues and folk checked in more regularly and we could keep a track of what each other was saying.

I know not everyone uses Facebook, but we can start a private group there. For free. It doesn't even show on the News Feed so none of your peeps will know we are fuck ups! lol. Or we could start posting on one of the two MWO Facebook groups that are already up and running, even better... some of us are already members and all the people are nice. Just for the interim while they get the kinks worked out over here.

                Thoughts peeps???

Reccy is the Voice of Reason so I'd like to hear what you think on this Reccstar. He's also the "go to" IT person. Maybe they will work the kinks out, I dunno. What are your thoughts?

I'll suck it up and post here if that's what everyone wants. I already subscribed.

I guess I'm a bit frustrated as I thought things would get better when they upgraded and, instead, we're finding it difficult.

Anyhoo...... what is the democratic vote? MWO referendum lol. I'll fit in with whatever yous all want.

                  Morning guys

apologies for being quiet again, I've been a bit unwell the last day or two. Haven't read back yet, so just replying to zenny's most recent post for now.

I think the first thing to say is that staying with the old MWO was not an option. Things were bad and were only going to get worse, so change was inevitable.

Server migrations and upgrades can be extremely complex undertakings and it is perfectly normal for there to be significant issues afterwards, especially if the original server software has been allowed to become rather dated, as I think was the case here. It can take anything from a few weeks to a few months to resolve all the issues and it's also possible that some issues may not be resolvable. We need to be patient and give zach and RJ time to work on the problems and we can help them by providing clear information about the issues we are experiencing or things we would like to see changed to improve the way the site functions (where possible).

While zach is doing what he can, there are things we can do to help matters along, such as emptying our PMs out and fixing our avatars to give the thread a more familiar feel. We also need to be prepared to spend a little time acquainting ourselves with the new format and learning how to do things.

Personally, I'm prepared to be patient and give zach and RJ time to work on the new site, but maybe I'm experiencing fewer problems than others here? Like you, zenny, I'm happy to go along with whatever everyone else wants.

Hi family...tried to log on three times last night and gave up. I promise to post more. I am so darn busy at work that I don't have the time, but that should change within the week as my budget will be done. Beloved Mr Bear, I am sorry you have been ill.
I have no overlapping problems and I can read everything. I agree with Wreccie...let's be patient before we abandon ship. I will text K9 and tell her that her smarty pants banter is sorely missed.
Fenny- I am not sure there is a walnut tree in the state of Florida.
Love and hugs to all....off to work soon...Bri is still there but my PT person is full time as of today and my temp is approved for hire as soon as Bri leaves.

Morning everyone - just about to walk the dog but wanted to put in my tuppence worth - I am wondering how you all know that you cannot see a post - if you cannot see it how do you know you couldn't see it ? As far as I know I am seeing all posts - I also still do not understand the overlapping thing ...... to my knowledge I am not having any trouble with that. The only issue I am having is that it takes longer to load right now but I usually go to something else in another window while I wait and when I come back it is up.

I would not go to FB - I do not care for FB so would stay here and as Reccy says - think they need time to iron out the kinks - (iron - LOL). I really miss the amount of posts that used to be here and all the folk that used to post too - hopefully it will get back to how it used to be - we are all the same people - just need to adapt slightly. As Reccy said (again) maybe fix the avatars so it gets more of a familiar homely feel - oh in UK, homely is GOOD and NICE so would make it feel more like home !!

And my dog keeps nudging me - got to go. Back later .....

                          Hugs to all, Sun XXX
How simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Hi Fennel, feeling better and looking forward to heading home. GF issue to be resolved but if its meant to be then it will and if not oh well I get it wasn't stronger than that.
