I have a lovely day off with not too much to do (although I have probably jinxed myself now) and plan to stalk the new site a bit.

I am late arriving at the desk of all wonder and excitement. Slept in. I haven't bothered altering my bedside clocky and this morning my brain tricked me into believing her. The parking fairy has been terribly generous this morning and provided not only a parking spot, but several to choose from. I am sending due regard her way so she knows my enormous gratitude!!

I've suggested Manuel pack you a light picnic lunch to enjoy in the grounds, by the second tier pond - far side under the willow tree. Valerie will have the buggy ready at approx 12.15. Do take a parasol for shade purposes whilst traveling.

Haven't done those heartstopping eggs in pots for ages.

Ooooh, oooohh,
I could make pottery ramekins and hand them out as gifts for people to make baked eggs.

Have been making heaps of fennel based salads as it is in full flavour at the moment.


Still on food, after I cancelled Effendy,
I booked to go again to the fab restaurant in Berry where we went last week for good food month local produce lunch.
Lovely staff, great food. Not a bit of offal in sight.
One of the suppliers is a young lad from a nearby town who supplies the restaurant with eggs.
They also get the occassional "rescue chooks" from various places.
I sat next to him and his (gorgeously good looking) dad at the luunch.
I asked him if he'd sell me a few buff pekins next year. Deal.
