Yo Tabbers, is halloween a Celtic tradition dating back thousands of years? I read it's celebration was banned here in Oz by english colonisers with punishment by flogging etc, but maintained by American Irish settlers?.....

Hi Mr G, yeah halloween is a big deal here. People decorate the outside spaces, the kids all dress up and call to door 'trick or treating' Easier to give them a treat haha. I think it goes back a long way, All Saints Day is the following day.

I read that too. Presumably they were flogged for their habit of ambushing folks at their door and demanding lollies???

Na easier to scare em. We used to have a house with a 120ft long twisty driveway with trees overhanging either side. DW used to turn all the lights off and hang fake huge cobwebs so they would walk into them. Then there was the pop up plastic tombstone which we placed close to the front door, when activated by motion sensor would pop up, open and howl at them, hahah great fun altogether.

Late check in all...pup at the vet again, had to have an emergency op on her vacuum cleaner like guts.

I was attending a yoga do, so consequently feel like a bad puppy mother...

Saw pictures of Sunny's little girl on Facebook, dressed like a ladybug...but in hospital?? I did a wtf and sent out a wtf? so will let you all know.

Going to eat cupcakes and go to bed...
