MAE steppers! Ah, hangover free and sober Saturdays, don't you just love them!
Bubba and I had Thursday and Friday off as well, drove a couple of hours to attend my Uncle Ross's sobriety birthday Thursday night, then Bubba had an appt with her oral surgeon on Friday to check on progress of her jaw on readiness for her tooth implant, then home last night. Picked up Hank from the vet's this morning (they board there as well) and getting ready to make some perogies as the freezer is empty of them lol. This afternoon the three of us are headed to the farm to winterize the RV for another year, how time flies! A pretty quiet weekend ahead of us, the way I like them...
Just wanted to share a picture of my Uncle's birthday cake! He is a great inspiration to me and shows all of us what can be accomplished one day at a time!
Good Lord! Thought I had resized this, sorry!!
Will try again...
Have a great weekend my friends, we're all in this together, and remember, no drinkin' or druggin' eh!!

Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Hello everyone.....I've been up since 3:00 am. I went to bed too early yesterday.:smiles:
How is everyone doing? I need to read back & catch up. It's been so hard to get on here lately just because of work, etc. I still haven't checked out all the cool things on here.
I'll read back while you all are still in bed. :hyper:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Morning loves. I am ashamed to admit I overslept and missed the walk. I woke up at 7, went potty, and said "5 more minutes" and woke up at 8:20. I had to downtown at 8:30, so I didn't go
I am mad at myself but I run like the hounds of hell all week, so I guess a little sleep in is good.
Had a nice talk with Nursie and she is hanging in there. Lots of tests, etc. She is shocked by the kindness of people she barely knows. It was nice to visit with her.
Bret and I went out for seafood and I had wine and came home and went to bed. He tried to stay awake to watch the FSU - Notre Dame game, but couldn't make it , so he is in the other room watching the recording.
Have a lovely Sunday. We are later to a big family birthday where there will be lots of beer:cuss:
Did no one notice that I said Tucky was outta here.....???? are ya'll sad cause we'll have no one to pick on?I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Mama I did notice Tucky is outta here, and yes I will miss the drama updates! Went to dinner with the kids last night for an early birthday celebration. Had a lovely time. Did have two glasses of wine and woke up with a headache. Whatever..
Cleaning some stuff out of the garage and storage unit today as it's hazardous waste drop off at a local college today. Baby steps.
Enjoy the day, hope to check back later.

Hi Liz, hope the headache goes quickly.. And yes, Bubba and I make them from scratch, she makes the fillings and does the pinching, I make the dough, roll it out, cut it, then boil them after they are filled. It's actually a fun day!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Hiya! :happy2:
Nora, I am glad you enjoyed the walk and it's great that you all managed to raise a tidy sum for such a worthy cause. Is your back better now?
Mama, congratulations on the board of directors thingy!! :welldone: It's a shame you missed the breast cancer walk yesterday, but you work hard during the week and you must've needed the sleep, so don't be too hard on yourself. Thanks for the update on nursie, I have been worrying about her and am pleased to hear she is hanging in there. That is great news about 'tucky and it might actually turn out to be beneficial for all concerned as she will get to spend more time with baby jack.
Liz, what a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday with the cruise! I would love to do something like that. Hope the trip to the dentist went well yesterday and I am glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner.
Actually, zenny was another one going out for an early birthday dinner last night, with 10 people expected to be present. Haven't heard how it went yet.
Dotts, I hope you'll get your echocardiogram results on Monday, it's a pain in the bum that they should make you wait though the weekend.
Pauly, the lady who cuts my hair is dead cute and I think she might be about the same age as you. I am quite relieved you've changed your avatar, that last one freaked me out a bit!!
Fenny, I hope you eventually managed to complete the move successfully in spite of the problems on the first day. Did you go off to the cabin this weekend or stay behind to get things organised in your new home?
Sunny, what was the Cadbury factory like? I was brought up only 17 miles from Bournville and never went there! Have a safe journey home.
Hope everyone else is doing well, especially nursie.
As many of you have already seen from the pics I posted on FB, amy went to the dog groomer yesterday. I was really pleased with the result and the groomer was a very pleasant lady, so we will be visiting her on a regular basis in future.
Off out into the fields now. Have a great day, everyone. :happy2:Last edited by Recluse; October 19, 2014, 12:09 PM.

Good morning everyone.
Feeling very grumpy and tired this morning I'm afraid...not hungover though...just...distant. Saw my Dr. G. Yesterday and it was...well, lots of hard things to hear. You all know what I mean.
Just want to stay in bed today and feel sorry for myself...
I'll get it together.
Love you my people:heartbeat:On My Own Way Out Since May 20, 2012
