Of course...I LOVED the Andy Griffith show! My parents were older when they had me, and I am also familiar with "No Time For Sergeants", too. :happy2:

Oh, Happs...those trees are gorgeous! From a distance, they remind me of the Pohutukawa trees in N.Z., but up close, the flower is quite different. I wish I were in OZ right now. Snowing here as we speak. :egad:Comment

STL, I am fifty-three...my dad would be 100 next year...mom is 86. My mom would let me sneak out of bed and watch the "late" shows with her, and so I got to see "No Time For Sergeants", "Some Like It Hot"...so many of the awesome older shows.
I got teary today...I got to my cousin's house to make lefse, and she was playing a family reunion dvd from 1986. My dad passed away seventeen years ago and it was so amazing to see actual footage of him (one cousin was on the cutting edge of technology and video taped the event). To be able to see him and hear him talking after all this while made me cry.
I guess this doesn't really relate to outdoors, LOL.Comment

How hot is it, Happs?
You know, it really is pretty. Now that I don't have to knock myself out removing snow from the front foot path and the million foot long, double-wide driveway, I'm much happier!
Got to mom's house and shoveled her out. She has a much smaller driveway, so it only took 8 minutes or so.Comment
