OK, I'm going to be honest before I bog off to take care of my patient... I started smoking pot at 14/15. Never got addicted. If it's really pressed on me now I'll take a drag, but I never buy it and haven't the slightest intentions of using it even if it does become legal. And I'm in the pharma field, so I could abuse it with ease. I honestly don't think it's addictive for everyone - only the people that choose it to be so - just the same as alcohol.
The more I think about it, the more I realize addiction is kind of a choice. And sometimes the thing that keeps people in their addiction is the lack of something better to focus on. If life sucks and you have major problems and issues it's hard to kick an addiction... one needs light at the end of the tunnel. So all the opinions and everything that are bandied about regarding kicking AL... I think it's time to take a cold hard look at the differences in people's lives... some people, simply, have it harder than others... and that is a huge contributing factor.
On that note, I am ORF! I'm sure the hate mob will be getting ready to fire and I'm not in the mood to defend myself.
