I started Game of Thrones, got through Season 1 already

One of my summertime jobs is scoring Advanced Placement exams high school kids take to get credit for college classes. They fly us all to several cities (depending on subject), including Louisville, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Salt Lake City, and we have a marathon reading session for about 9 days. Anyway, one year, a colleague next to me was really into the Game of Thrones novels and was reading one on our breaks. I asked her what it was about and she gave me the general gist and told me it was full of gratuitous sex and violence and that it had been developed into a TV series for HBO. So that put the bug in my ear to go and buy it on iTunes for the plane ride home (can anyone see where this is going?). I don't think I've ever shut my laptop lid down so quickly in my life. Not something to be watched in public, unless you have one of those filmy things covering your screen so people next to you can't see your screen

ugh...I am at work watching the sun disappear….

I personally would love to keep the daylight on the other end of the day, but it can't be pleasant for kids (or their parents) to be walking to school or waiting at a bus stop in the dark in the morning.

Ok so I'm back. Have not read back. So much mail,laundry and such to,catch up on. Cruise was great. I kept it together and am pretty darn proud of myself. Just a quick check in to let you all know I'm ok. Hopefully will have time tomorrow to catch up

As far as feeling crazy...I know that when I am on again then off again AL, I feel ....a lot of anxiety for no apparent reason...it seems to subside the longer I don't have any AL..not even the 1 or 2 I have . I don't know...rambling again...

I couldn't find it either Kradle..... wise comments about being on and off AL, and I APOLOGIZE about my "son" comments....I just meant that....at least... at my house, they pretty much come and go as they please and so far......everything is ok.

So far almost 4 weeks in new job and so far so good, health is slowly but surely getting better. Found out last night the guy they placed in my previous job resigned within 2 weeks... do you think they will get the message, probably not as they were having him do the same as they did with me.

Sorry about the grumps yesterday - too much stuff going on ...... anyway today is a new day and I am fine. Shoulder hurting and no MB, I have no idea how I hurt it - well I have a vague idea but not 100%. It is just a nuisance.

Good morning, my peeps.

Sun, I hope your shoulder feels better soon. I hate having pain/injuries.

K9, maybe you should talk with Sierra's dad about the whole curfew thing? Just to put your mind at ease.

Pauly, don't leave. If this place is a support, it makes no sense to leave it.

Mrs. Fen and I joined a gym while we are waiting for the treadmill repairman. In fact, while I was painting the garage with Kilz primer yesterday, Mrs. Fen actually found the missing cup holders and wheel- so now all I need is an actual tech to put the wheel on correctly. I can't believe how long this whole odyssey is taking!

The painting was awful- the product is used to mask unpleasant stains and aromas, and it's pretty toxic in it's own right. I had an upset stomach and a pounding headache the whole time. I really hope that it will abate the smell the tenants left.

Mrs. Fen spoke with our next door neighbors, who said that the renters used to sit on the garage floor, smoking, cig butts strewn around that they never picked up. Also, in addition to stealing the washer and dryer, they stole the dining room light fixture and a ton of other stuff that belonged to the owner. Needless to say, we changed out the locks yesterday!

I am stiff and sore today, and heading out to the gym again shortly...
