I respect the varying opinions of others, but I have noticed that whenever the topic turns to politics or religion, things can get out of hand. We are all entitled to our opinion on things and here in this thread, we generally feel free to express them, no matter what! Some matters affect people more deeply than others. Sorry if it touched a nerve with you Alky, but we DO talk about A LOT of things on this thread other than our addictions and recovery. Who wants to talk about that ALL day long? These people feel like family to me, and they can express their opinions on whatever they want, whether I agree or not. Mama's reaction was not a personal attack on you, or anyone.

You're right Sunni, there AREN'T rules about what we are allowed or not allowed to discuss. On that note, let's talk about Gun Control, Immigration, Abortion and the existence (or non) of God. JUST KIDDING! :happy2:

I am a bear of little brain and do not understand the fox hunting.....
Yes, I am watching SOA....Jax and Clay beat the crap out of each other in jail and the ATF lady is trying to get them to narc on the IRA dudes...that fight was intense!! I think I am in Season 2 and can't believe how much I don't remember....must have been drinking :sad:

When I was in college I worked in a bar in the holidays and got into a heated 'discussion' one day with a customer about fox hunting - my boss told me I could NEVER discuss religion, politics or fox hunting .......

Maybe the fox hunting thing is kind of like animal-rights activists and such. I am gonna give my opinion that nobody asked for. I love eating meat, I just wish the animals were raised in a more humane environment, like back in the day where the chickens ran free until their number came up...that kinda thing.

Now back to Sons of Anarchy...I don't remember most of it either Mama and I WASN'T drinking...I swear even sober I can't remember much of what I see or read anymore. And Game of Thrones is VERY confusing to me at some points, but I keep watching and try to understand what I can. Did you notice that one of the wanna-be Queens was Queen Anne from the Tudor's? She was Henry's favorite, the one he left his first wife for....he also beheaded her.

Well I seemed to have missed a lot here today...I love this group because we dont always have to talk about AL and all that goes with it...when needed we do but otherwise I like to talk about how dang sore my buttocks is from the gym today..how is that for a topic....
