Dotts, I'm glad your heart is okay. As maddening as it can be, I think hormones can really cause some unpleasant arrhythmias. Sounds like the magnesium is doing the trick?
Niner, keep us posted concerning your mom's cataract surgery. Goodness, she seems a bit young for all of that, isn't she? My mom is 86 and just now ready to have hers removed.
I'm thinking of you tonight...please stick close to us.
Nora, sometimes my palm hits a key or something and everything I've typed simply vanishes. So maddening, isn't it?

I went to mom's today to take her mall walking. I'm trying to keep her active so that her body maintains some muscle mass, which in turn helps her body to utilize oxygen more efficiently. We stopped at Boston Store on the way out, as she'd tried on a new winter coat there a few days ago and decided she wanted to purchase it. At 5' and 90 lbs. soaking wet, she is a "petite".
She is a very thrifty shopper...the coat was on sale, plus mom used a gift card one of us kids had given her, so she only paid 56 dollars for a really nice coat.
We got back to her place and I placed her Pilgrims and Turkey lawn ornaments in her front yard- she is very fond of the large plastic ones with light bulbs in them that light up at night. After Thanksgiving, I will switch them out with the Holy Family, including a wooden manger I built for her when her plastic one bit the dust.
Tidied up her place a bit, then headed out.

fen u take such good care of your mother....warms my heart.
Nursing home and dh and I, noticed that dad was getting more confused. They did testing they to reach what they call the "Allen score" . As we guessed he is declining. His score dropped .7 points...not good and today he couldn't remember who my mother was...so sad and I have to NOT let this depress me....
Didn't get to the gym today because of the doctors appointment. Cant go Friday either. Funeral at church and I am on the committee that makes the luncheon after the service.
May help friend tomorrow to move her mother into assisted living. Her dad died earlier this year and her mom is 92 and living alone. She is still with it so really doesn't need much help. But she is 92 so there is something needed...We are to be the distraction while the move takes place...take her to lunch or something....she is fighting this but we all know it is for the best....

Just a quick check in before bed. Worked 12 hours today and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open. It's a good tired though.
Fen you are a good daughter.
Dottie glad you're ok.
K9 hang in there. It's hard to let them go. She'll still be around, but it's different I know. Call text Skype!
Nora hope you're doing ok.
I'm so pathetic but off too bed. Good night and sweet dreams.

Lizann - I am after you too! I worked today th4en came home and worked in the garden for a couple of hours - feeling rather tired now and just heading for bed too.
Pauly - what is the matter ? are you okay ? Talk to us please ......
Fen - you are so lucky living near enough to your mum that you can do those things for her ..... and of course she is lucky to have you near!!
Dottie, yes, our weather too is going to change dramatically in the next few days - it got up to just about 70 today - amazing !
MB - I think Paxil was one of the ones that they tried me on when I first started on Ad's and it turned me into a zombie ..... Fen, I think I know the one that you are referring to and that did nothing for me - I really do not want to go back on them and am really hoping that the Rhodiola helps me - even if it takes the edge off, that would be wonderful !
K9 - hope you are doing okay .....
I am off to bed - sorry if I have missed anyone ... sleep tight everyone,
Hugs, Sun XXHow simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Mama, Sun- I take lamictol wich isn't an AD...in fact it wasn't until I started to seriously distance myself from AL that I experienced any real depression... It was not fun...
I'm bipolar which is high highs and low lows for no apparent reason....I can actually feel myself shifting these gears imy head. It's dreadful.....

Dottie, I am thinking of you. It's so much harder when our folks don't know what's going on, in my humble opinion. My dad looked hale and hearty at the end of his life, but he didn't know if he was "afoot or horseback", as we say in these parts.
As frail as my mom is, I am glad that she is lucid.
Sounds like you have a busy week ahead of you...I finally "got" it that you are a church basement lady! Thank goodness for you gals at funerals.
