Once tried to knit a grey jumper for Mr JC as he's an XL and 6'4" it got to the stage I felt like I was knitting an elephant.

just been stuffing fresh newspaper up the chimney. i dread the winter, this house is so unbalanced and cold.

no, just badly thrown up before the ratings/gradings came in. 80's. when the wooden frames were replaced half the insulation blew out, like packing wotsits, not good enough nowadays and not enough in my walls.

We've still got good old fashioned 70's ducted heating.

ducts in the walls and the heat is fanned through them by a motor........

sounds expensive and inefficient. you must get as cold as i do.
im going to look into british gas offer of insulation. i have the feeling that because i have a bit of it, i wont qualify.

Its not bad and we've got cavity wall insulation and a well insulated loft.............now tell me when you were 17 or there abouts did you ever think you'd be debating the pros and cons of central heating and loft insulation.
