i had a thought that she is a recovered alcoholic so i looked and she is. shes also a ladeee.

she was on 'this morning' this morning. i missed it entertaining the hoards that came through my door but i saw the phone in later. so sad.

What were people saying...........you see my mother was 71 when she died and was drinking at least 2 bottles of wine a day.........her mind was shot to pieces...........actually ended up having a heart attack.

two got through only, one was on one bottle a night and was ashamed and scared, didnt know what to do. had been to AA but on its own didnt help. they were going to get some local help for her. was told not to stop as it was a death risk (hmmm).

the other was her partner on two bottles and didnt see a problem but she did. was told 'to put the seed of stopping in his mind, regularly talk about when not if he stops' blah blah. she already told him shes concerned, he dismissed it. he will dump her, not the drink imo if she does what they say.

You know AA is always in my very humble opinion a good way to start............gives you a chance to have a look see that 99.999999999% of alkies don't have 2 heads and carry whisky in a brown paper bag all the time........and if its a good fit and you like it......get stuck in...........but there's plenty more out there.

Yep I think back in the day I would have dumped Mr JC rather than my precious bottles.

she had very little time but i get the feeling she needed someone to be with her to go and leave with to digest (hate that but cant think of another word) and work it through. she sounded scared of people though too. not people, like she had no one close to her.
