Well its been warm here this week, up in the 70's so I can't use that as an excuse, but at least I can get out and walk, I forgot to tell you Dots,this morning I pulled a Mr.Dots and took a painting from someone's curb they had put out for the trash,I can't remember what he took,was it a/c filters? Or insulation?something like that

Dottie, I was up at 4:30 AM but did not post because I didn't have anything new to say. Sorry! I hear you on the weight loss struggle, though. I never thought it would be so difficult and I exercise like a fiend. You never mentioned that you cried all through the holidays...what happened??

Pauly-loved the vision of you picking a painting out of your neighbor's garbage cans. :-)

I'm addicted to Packers football and the Pack is playing Dallas (talk about boohiss) right now so I am firmly planted in my living room with a big fire going.

I'm here! Slept till 10 and lazed around, but back from the store and going to laze around some more.
I have discovered Marco Polo on Netflix and it's really good.
Hubs and I went to see "Unbroken" last night and enjoyed it. We went to our favorite theatre....it was built in 1930 and serves alcohol and really good food. It was nice.

Hubby & I just went and had a delicious meal at 'Hummus Factory'. My new favorite restaurant. More of casual restaurant and next time we'll do take-out. But, it was so good!!!!!!!!!!

Rusty I just dont like the holidays. I dont have any kids or siblings so it is just dh and me. Which is OK I guess but the whole season just depresses me. Not how I envisioned the holidays when I was a kid...didn't like it then either. All the kids on the block had large families and they were all playing together and I was home with my folks....sigh...but here we are.
Starting to sleet here. Glad we are home where it is warm and comfy.

Dottie:hug::hug:I feel so badly for you, but I really "get" it. My best friend has two estranged, wacko brothers, and she and her husband have just one son who is emotionally and physically disabled, with the nastiest, most impossible personality. She cried during the holidays, too, and wishes they could skip Christmas altogether. I cannot imagine how lonely you felt as I child because I come from a big family, too. Did you used to drink during the holidays to numb your pain? I did one year, after my Mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. It was the pits. Sending post-holiday love your way.

Mama-I hope my client pays me, too. Yeah, the Pack won yesterday...yippee! On to OSU v. Oregon tonight. May the best team win, girlfriend. :-)

Nora-the restaurant, the Hummus Factory...sounds fascinating. I must Google it.
