No real word on Nana..the obstruction has not moved so they are talking possible surgery....grrrrrr
hubs is with her tonight again...he got home after 11 last night...that's late for him as we are usually passed out by nine or so
we are eating leftover chili...YAY
I am tired and have a wee headache, but I am not complaining today.
I MIGHT try the vinegar thingy....gag!

Pauly - I think I have the affliction too, I grabbed a silk plant in a really nice basket that my neighbor had out next to their trash can...it's nice, I can't believe they were going to throw it away. Dot's hubby is really rubbing off on us. LOL

My mom swears by apple cider vinegar with honey in water for everything, she mostly uses it for acid reflux.

I am hoping Limpy gets his testosterone back when he feels a little more self assured! He is growing on me, and checkers would be nice

I think I will call it an early night...last night it was 7:30, but I'm talking even earlier tonight. LOL I am reading a really good book and haven't done that in a while, so now I'm enjoying it. Packing can wait! No dinner plans for me, I had a HUGE burrito from this meat market next door, it was SOOO good and now I'm afraid I'm hooked. Ut oh.

I know they're all over California,but not sure if by you,their carne asada burritos rock!!!good find on the basket what causes a bowel blockage Mama?hope it passes, surgery is scary at that age,I read acv can soothe nerves,who knows, can't hurt anyways,my new show is "little women l.a" I love how they accept themselves for what they are and have fulfilling lives,plus they fight a lot like regular sized women haha

Second - I have no idea what causes a bowel obstruction, but I know she's in a lot of pain. :-(

Who knows Dots, I hope she's doing well, I liked hearing about her life and what she was up to,bleh, I ate a stupid lean cuisine for dinner now I'm freaking starving!!!!!ready to order a pizza and eat the whole thing myself!!Gotta lose at least 5 lbs though, I think everyone has a weight they can't stand, maybe it brings back memories of a bad time in their lives, or it just sounds hideous, I'm at that particular weight

Hello - just home from work. I will read back & respond in a few but I HAVE TO VENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

At work about 11:00 am and hearing loud bangs, thumps from upstairs in the attic. Made us all jump a couple of times but we just assumed that they were moving stuff around up there. Then, this horrible crash. I leave the office and go out to go up in the attic and all the employees in Assembly had heard it and were looking at me asking me what was wrong. I go up to the attic and there is no one in the attic?? So, I walk in further and look out the window and there is a ladder and then I looked closer and could see a man laying there gasping in pain. Oh my gosh......I go running down and thru Assembly with everyone asking me what was wrong, and I run thru the office yelling for them to page my boss and they said that he had just walked out the front door.
I look around but don't see my boss, then look up and he had already climbed up the ledge. Our Maintenance guy had fallen from the roof onto the ledge - about 5 feet!! Anyway, long story not very short - I called our medical clinic to see if we should take him there or the hospital, spending quite a bit of time to get our guy orientated enough to get him up a ladder across a roof and down a ladder, getting him down the attic steps and then into my car............ I ended up driving him to the clinic. Thankfully, nothing broken, head injury, shoulder & back injury. He is such a nice guy. I picked him up after he was released and he said it was his fault. I told him no - it was an accident! He slipped on the rung of a ladder and fell. We had graffiti on the roof and he was going up to paint it.

Then, FINALLY, I am on my way home....Scott had told me that I was out of ice and that I had to stop by the liquor store. (For everyone that doesn't know, I love ice - have it next to me constantly.) I was driving to the liquor store (I have a favorite kind of ice that is only sold in a couple of places in the neighborhood - Yes, I know that I am weird!) thinking that i am going to get a beer and Scott is just going to have to deal with it. Then I would say no - you don't want to do that, then next thing you know I am thinking about which beer I am going to get. So, I pull into the liquor store and as I'm getting out of the car, I see this weird chick (I figured she was on something) go running into the store. I thought that was weird but at that point, I had decided to buy a scratcher instead of a beer and was deciding how much I was going to spend on it....$2.00 or $3.00....big decision in my life. Anyway, I go in the store and hear the owner screaming at this girl - and hearing her yell. He kept saying he was calling the police. I am not sure what she did - (urinating or vomiting)....but from what I gathered it was disgusting. He was calling her a 'bastard' and lots more and telling her to clean it up. She was yelling things in her own drugged up state. I saw him giving her a rag and yelling at her. Then, a guy in front of me left, then I walked outside and called out to the owner if he wanted me to call 911. He said he was doing it and then the girl left so I went back in to get my ice. The girl came back. Then she left again. Another customer came in and realized what was going on so he was standing outside to make sure she wasn't by his car. By this point, I knew I couldn't get outside because she was right there. I just waited - I finally bought my ice - no beer and not even a scratcher. The other customer stood there and made sure that I got to my car while the girl was grabbing on the door handle of another truck.

Wanted ice cream and remembered we had some Fudgesicles...unwrapped it and there was a normal popsicle stick and right beside it was a weird broken stick that was pointing out. I have taken the hint......GOOD NIGHT.

OMG Nora!!! Is the maint man making a workman's comp report? That's required in FLA. And YOU had to drive him to the hospital?? I hope the poor guy is ok. And I cannot believe no one at work stepped up to help you....
I am so glad you were not hurt when wack a doodle was at the liquor store. AWESOME on not buying beer!!!
I, too, love ice and chew it all day long. Zaxby's has really good ice, btw!
I miss Fen, too. But I am thrilled Nora is posting!

OMG Nora! Mark did fine yesterday with his gastro. They dilated his very narrow esophagus and put him on protonix. He is sore but fine. The scariest part, they couldn't wake him up post procedure! I was shot yesterday, at work so I'll try and check in later.
