I am allergic to wool so the coat is trench coat material with a red removable liner so I could wear the liner by itself or the black jacket alone. So 3 in one. Purse is a Baggallini. It has lots of places to put things and a long strap. I have a smaller one now but this one was on sale and it is bigger. Purse is gray. I did NOT try on any clothes....did not need to be depressed. I need to try on all my dresses so I can find one to wear to the wedding next month, it is being held downtown and a nice hotel so we want to dress up. We did get them a present today so that is off my list..

Morning loves
Long day yesterday, but everything seems fine. Nana was so pitiful and in a lot of pain, but she has a low paint threshold, so we expected that. She had female surgery years ago that cause quite a bit of scar tissue, or adhesions, and that is what was blocking her bowel. YIKES.
I am off to an all day conference and will be out of touch. Thank you so much for all the texts and loveI love my family more than alcohol.:h

Mama- thanks for keeping us all informed of Nana's progress. Abdominal surgery is so painful especially on someone elderly, but thank God the blockage wasn't a tumor or something. She is sooo lucky to have the best DIL :-) in the world. Love you lots and hope your conference goes well. Xoxo

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Glad Nana is OK Mama! Enjoy your conference, we'll miss your posts today
Dots and Pauly - Sounds like you guys are getting some good deals...I figure I will be able to do some shopping after the move. Sometimes it's fun just to start over.
Good to see you Rusty! I am enjoying my rekindled "relationship"...whatever it is at the moment. We like hanging out, so it helps and we are NOT drinking!!

Good Mid-Morning Stepping Friends,
Mama-sending positive thoughts your way on Nana's progress. You really had a long day yesterday so please do something nice for yourself today.
Pauly-yes, I take 100 mg of 5-HTP in the morning on an empty stomach and 100 mg in the late afternoon. It really does take help. Have fun with Louie----oooh, choc. chip cookies...YUM. Your sweater sounds lovely.
Dottie- I can't tell you how many times the scale has ruined my day the first thing in the morning. I was struggling with my weight, too...and I was on Phentermine, etc. and it worked but when I stopped taking it, of course I put all the weight back on and then some. But 10 days ago, I saw my new doctor and he suggested I download MyFitnessPal on my phone, and I have it on my laptop, too. Oh my gosh, I had NO idea that the food I was eating was so high in calories. As opposed to Weight Watchers, MyFitness Pal calculates your calories for every bite of food you eat, and accounts for exercise, so it actually will calculate how long it will take you to reach your goal based on what you're eating and how much you're exercising per day. It's I've managed to lose 3.5 pounds in the last 10 days. I think this is the answer for me. :-)

Dottie-I had it on my phone, too, and had not used it. It's much simpler for me to access it from my computer. Believe me, I had almost thrown in the towel and resigned myself to being a Size 14 the rest of my life, but I know it's unhealthy for my height...and it does NOT look good, and my 88-year-old mother is worried about me because it's so unhealthy. I'm losing it for myself but also for her. She is my motivation. I want her to see me back to a Size 8...which is what she thought was my ideal weight. I actually feel like there's hope now. As I said before, I thought when I quit drinking, all that weight was just going to melt off with no effort. NOT. :-(

I agree, myfitnesspal really does point out how bad I eat! Fitbit has calorie tracking too but I'm too embarrassed to be honest on it most of the time haha, blood work was easy and I'm already home Rusty, I take 5 htp too, just recently bumped up to 100 mgs at night, I never have side effects from it,st John's wort I've used also but it doesn't agree with meI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:
