Aww Pauly, I'm sorry. I know how hard that is. Hubby told CJ and her boyfriend to run out and get him some beer and I knew if she went she'd come home with wine. I told him I can't have it in the house right now.

For realz Liz,but at least hubs has the decency to keep it out there,last nite Louie's uncle brought hubs a 3-pack of tall boys as a thank you for working on his car,hubs took it to the garage immediately, I'm with you as I just don't want it in the house, not tempted to drink, just would prefer it the hell away from me

Chili cook off was really good...I am so tired. Gym tomorrow then another funeral late tomorrow afternoon.
Guess I am lucky dh doesn't drink much and none in the house or garage.

Had a good day. It was icy out so we were all home and Cjs boyfriend is here. Watching football and feel snug as a bug in a rug. Hubby just went out to see if he could clear some of the slush out of the driveway before it freezes again. Stairs are still solid ice. Ugh! At least I get to wear my new hunter boots tomorrow.

back from the hospital. Bret is exhausted from sitting with Nana all day and is glad to be home.
She was pretty pitiful, but the boys and I were able to talk her into getting up and walking! YAY!

Glad she's up walking, that's a good thing Mama Dots,hope your sinuses are better, Liz,all that icy conditions sound horrible! I'm whining that it's 60 something here,I grew up in northern Nevada where it snowed and got cold,got married and lived in Utah for 5 years, so I know the cold, but I don't know if it's cuz I'm older or just got used to Vegas weather,I couldn't handle you and Dots temps,hope everyone is having a good nite

Mama-good job on getting Nana to get up and walk. :yay::goodjob: You must be exhausted. Wish you could take a vacation.

Pauly-that must have been so hard for you last night to know that dh was in the garage with beer. I don't think I could stay sober if my spouse were drinking anywhere near me. In fact, when my family insisted I stop drinking, I couldn't stand the thought that they were drinking and I couldn't...so I didn't go home as much. Fortunately, I live alone and don't have those temptations often. Great job on staying strong.

Lizann-where do you live that it is so icy? I am in Wisconsin, and the weather has been mild this week but this is just the beginning of our winter here. Good job also for sticking to your guns and telling your hubs to keep AL away from you.

Dottie-you sure have been going to a lot of funerals in the last few months. The chili cook off sounded delicious and fun.

Well, I am off to the gym and then my friend is coming over to help me take down all my Christmas decorations...including my two trees.

Hey all, Mama I'm with you, screw Monday! I feel so nauseous, I hope I didn't eat something bad,I felt like this yesterday too,I was thinking it's cuz I started taking time released melatonin again, but then Kell felt kinda sick yesterday too so maybe it's just something going around, Rusty, I hear you on having to avoid family members that drink, I miss my mom so bad but I've avoided going to visit cuz she loves her beers and she starts off goofy but ends up a bitch sometimes, but I do love her I've decided cold weather irritates me btw,well off to get ready and get something into my Puky belly,hit Dots,Nora,Liz,K9,Kradle everybody else, see ya later

Feel better Pauly! Mark was nauseous yesterday too. Gave him some pepto and he felt heeps better. He gained 2 whole pounds since his procedure Wednesday!!!!
Mama I saw your post on fb. That is so sweet that your boys got nana to walk!
Rusty, I live in northern New Jersey. Hubs just cancelled office hours for today. Still to much ice. We had the bucket brigade going this morning, pouring hot water on the stairs to melt the ice. The driveway is still too icy.
Nora, k9, kradle where are you guys? Hope you're doing ok.
Dottie hope you don't have to work too hard today.
Food shopping today, treadmill, laundry and croque Monsieur for dinner tonight. It's a calorie bomb but I do what I gotta do to fatten up my boy. He loves anything French!

Hubs drinking is my complete downfall. Everyone says it's my own problem, and I get that, but a drink in front of face is freaking irresistible.
HR has denied Tucky's reduced work schedule request, so shall see,

Morning all,
Rusty our church is mostly older.OLD folks so funerals are expected I guess. Mostly everyone has been in the mid 80's and beyond. And she wants us there so early but I am committed and she is my friend so what can I say.
Cold but sun is out so that is good. We are off to the gym then, need gas and I hope the prices are still down. Then I will shower and get ready to head out for the funeral.
pauly hope u are feeling better. Hubbs wasn't feeling too well last night. Not sure if it was the chili, which was so off diet for us, or is he got the crud of the day..who knows. He is feeling better now so hat is good. He is NOT a good patient.
