    12 months

    Hi all,

I've not been here for awhile. I just wanted to check in today on my 12 month mark. One full year and not a drop of booze.

Life is much, much better. Like, everything is better, relationships, work, self esteem, sleeping, health etc etc.

Keep pushing through people, it took me a long time to find this peace but every single minute of struggle was worth it.

    Peace
    Dave.

Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

So nice to read your post Dave, congratulations and I couldn't agree more.
Once you finally get the hang of 'no alcohol, ever' life does get a whole lot easier.

      Very happy for you!!

Thank you everyone, I had put months under my belt before but this is the first time I have made it through a full year. I am confident in the future and I am thankful my life is no longer the train wreck it once was.

                    Keep the faith.

Thats a great achievement Dave. I am really happy for you that its been worthwhile and that you did not 'white knuckle' your recovery. Here is to another great year and learning more about the positive aspects of sobriety. I too never thought I would ever be so enthusiastic about this permanent change - but its great when it feels normal and right!
