sorry for not acknowledging you back there Ukay --- and yup just after listening to it -- curious about how you found it depressing Badger? I stress that I know nothing about any meds or that one in particular --- not on principle -- just never went that route...

well, the fact that it won't be prescribed without counselling, which isn't available in almost half of cases. that, plus the usual wittering about AL being a social problem, minimum AL pricing, etc. which doesn't really help people already in trouble with AL

Oh lovely cup and saucer Roxy too pretty to drink but I would as an ornament its like a fairy cup and I love fairy mini statues. Welcome badger I haven't listened to the link but I will later so can't comment yet. I take antibuse which my Dr is ok in prescribing and I found it a helpful tool in early sobriety.

Had a listen now...........sorry but once they said they're targeting people on half a bottle of wine or a couple of pints a day I sort of tuned out..............the real alcohol services in the Uk are basically run on good will and a bit of old string............I volunteer in one........very, very few doctors specialise and if you think your GP on and average day deals with ingrowing toenails, a baby with a rash and various other ailments.........they have a very basic knowledge of alcohol problems and tbh they rely on us ...........the patient to be honest with them.......then we have to be referred to one of the very, very few specialists out there............time, money, training and education need funding...........obviously that's my humble opinion
And the pricing of alcohol FFS..........if there's a will there's a way.

Evening army stormy here and it seems we have a yellow warning in place till tomorrow morning but its the north west that gets the brunt its not bad here so far. Need to get an eye test done soon Molly as I was due last year and never made it. Any decent looking specs are a bit expensive I couldn't even look at designer also need a dental check up also long over due. More money to be found but can't be put off much longer. Hiya that's sounds better than the see food diet. See food eat it lol.
