well its my fault. no dentist would want me now unless i went private. so, will have to wait for two weeks to see what consultant says, then wait for xrays then wait for appointment to see consultant about the xrays and on and on and on................

I just rang up and asked if they took NHS patients and could they treat dental phobes...they said yes and I turned up with a gob full of problems and been with them 6/7 years.
My first appointment he just talked to me let me sit in the chair and just had a poke round my mouth............we worked out what I would do if I was uncomfortable or in pain...........hand signals and he'd immediately stop and we went from there. Still get a bit anxious but not the sweaty sliding off the chair panicky. It could be worse, I could be filing.
AF since 7/7/2009

ah, thats great. maybe ive been unlucky, and like i said, avoided even going there. i tried a few when i left the area of a dentist i did like but gave up quite quickly as i had no problems other than a dodgy jaw. pictures of queues of people trying to register with new nhs dentists and head in sand.
im off to the garden while the sun is still there. talk later xx
