foxy, its been 6 months since i saw my doctor about it. she then forgot to refer me til i called to find out why i hadnt got a referral letter. its just got worse since then. i cant chew now so i will have to live on a diet of ice cream. so, i cant open my mouth, and cant close it. i have a tooth giving me the aches too which doesnt help my mood.

there, im making good with my ticket to moan.

I'm sure I've asked this Roxxy but have you thought about getting the dentist involved?

And I've got plenty tickets here.

i havent got one. i last saw a dentist ohh, 4 years ago? as part of my cbt. hadnt been before then for years. mainly because of my jaw its quite distressing. what could they do anyway? i cant open my mouth further than an inch now.

I know you've got your appointment now but I was just thinking off the top of my head if the dentist can't get at the tooth he/she might be able to stick his oar in as she/he needs to treat you.

Awww I wish I could bring you to ours............they've cured my dental phobia............I know I needed a wee bit valium when they did the extraction the other week.............but normal dentist going people sometimes do that.

well its my fault. no dentist would want me now unless i went private. so, will have to wait for two weeks to see what consultant says, then wait for xrays then wait for appointment to see consultant about the xrays and on and on and on................

i suppose i mean that they would have had me before i had problems, they have a duty of care so would still treat me. less profit in problems.

that sounds soft enough, im on my way..............

I just rang up and asked if they took NHS patients and could they treat dental phobes...they said yes and I turned up with a gob full of problems and been with them 6/7 years.
My first appointment he just talked to me let me sit in the chair and just had a poke round my mouth............we worked out what I would do if I was uncomfortable or in pain...........hand signals and he'd immediately stop and we went from there. Still get a bit anxious but not the sweaty sliding off the chair panicky.

ah, thats great. maybe ive been unlucky, and like i said, avoided even going there. i tried a few when i left the area of a dentist i did like but gave up quite quickly as i had no problems other than a dodgy jaw. pictures of queues of people trying to register with new nhs dentists and head in sand.

im off to the garden while the sun is still there. talk later xx

I'd better go and do something spectacular with lentils.
