You don't have to do mighty things, Molly - it's Sunday.

I've a futon base and headboard thingy that somebody made for me years ago - long story - that's a matt black. Want to paint it; was thinking of a purply-grey dove. All advice appreciated. But entire bedroom deserves a make-over - duvet cover, curtains, the lot. So will see what I get, and then maybe come and agonise over paint colour here.

Absolutely lovely day outside. And I'm working, again/still. Really gatvol at the moment.

There is this great furniture paint over here that literally can be painted on to anything without sanding or priming & gives that washed look if you want it.
Dove gray is deffo there.
Let me find the name.

i sent mum a mothers day card after she left for australia. i asked her if she got it because she didnt mention it. 'its not mothers day here' she said. she hasnt got another one since.

Roxxy, I didn't have the best relationship with my Ma (that is the understatement of the year) and loathed Mother's Day..............wish I'd had the courage you did,................I have never ever put pressure on my kids to get into a tizz about it............... so that's why I delighted with me Hyacinths.

sanding is horrible, especially with arthritic fingers. i looked like id chucked flour over me when i finished. and keep that dog tail out of the way too.

molly, that happy family in the way they show it is a myth. but it does make most who see it feel like the outcast, the family that is wrong, different to how its supposed to be. that is not a good thing.

Its like the fantasy of the happy breastfeeding mothers on the cover of most baby mags....................there would be an immediate drop in population if they showed her in the puked on dressing gown, unwashed hair, the bags under her eyes competing with her knees caps.
