Hope the weather plays along for the eclipse - it's a glorious thing. Years ago when we had a full eclipse here, I travelled 300 km to watch it - my parents were visiting my brother so I went to see them. It was cloudy and we missed most of out. Meanwhile, back in my home town, it was a bright, cloudless day...

Made a lovely tomato sauce to use in stews in things last night and early this morning. One jar cracked, but 11 more for the pantry. Please do not mention tomatoes for a while, will you? I love Tomato based sauces but never made any from scratch. I use tinned tomatoes to make mine. Ireland and most of UK will see little or nothing.Comment
