The bit about the snakes is interesting I'll admit.
    WHY ?
Gray squirrels for instance are overtaking the native red squirrels.

If he has a temperature, it may be an idea to keep an eye on it. How high and for how long.

Doctors now? Brilliant. Good luck, hope he gets sorted. would have to wait days here unless we could get an emergency appointment. They would make you feel you were wasting their time as well.

Put him to bed - hot water bottle - loads of blankets - get a temperature going - sweat - that will fight the infection....

Medical research has shown that a fever is not the body's enemy.
Most bacteria and viruses that cause infections thrive at normal body temperatures. So raising the temperature by a few degrees is the body's way of fighting infection by making conditions less suitable for the survival and reproducion of the infectious agent. A fever will also activate the body's immune system by encouraging the production of white blood cells, antibodies and other infection-fighting agents. So acting to bring down the temperature may prevent the body from fighting the infection.

Poor Joe, sweating it out is what the S&H and Mr JC do and it works like a dream.

I just lie about and sigh tragically.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Makes sense. Over a certain temperature though is cause for concern. My poor niece used to have hallucinations but stopped at fitting thankfully.

It was IKEA.......had a bit of panic attack when I lost Mr JC in the cutlery and kit hen bits...............but came away with the thing we went for a lamp...................plus some meatballs, rosti and some smelly cheese.

We've got a huge IKEA in Noocastle we could put you in if you fancied a trip up to Noocastle at the beginning of April,Roxxxxy.

Said that quietly so there's no pressure.
