calm before storm. i somehow agreed to have a mad untrained dog for the weekend as neighbour has an extra dog and the dynamics are all wrong. got ambushed by the 'request' and i felt i had to say yes. we'll see if i keep her even for one night.Comment

Has your dog had a good sniff?
Remember the wee dog I looked after last year........well his owner went back on the drink..........broke his ankle badly.........the dog ran off. Luckily little Meg was picked up by the dog warden and taken to the shelter near us. She's up for re-homing and he feels like shit.It could be worse, I could be filing.

why is she up for rehoming? a bit drastic.
this dog is not for fostering. its a convoluted story of shuffling various dogs around from other owners and i got roped in somehow.
i dont have it yet, ive been putting of calling her to say im ready for her. my dog will think christmas has come and there will be pandemonium for a while. then he will get fed up as hes older now. im worried about my garden borders, full of new young shoots of plants i nurtured last year. this dog know no boundaries, no self discipline. oh well.Comment

He is I'm afraid............would loved to have had the wee thing but honestly her and Bess just about tolerated each other. Bess is an older lady now so it wouldn't be fair on her.
Managed to get him signed up again and our place to get him back on track.It could be worse, I could be filing.

I would guess that looking after a dog with a broken ankle could be quite difficult, alcohol or no alcohol.I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.
Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

Several reasons, Molly. The main one is that our granddaughter, our gorgeous little girl, will be operated on in a couple of months and I'm not sure it should be done.
