Good morning. Cloudy and cool today, figures right? Laundry and some cleaning on the agenda for today. Fun night with hubs and the boy last night. My poor son is so stressed with finals!

Didnt sleep well at all. Down day for me. Should be on a day trip with hubbs today with the train club. Makes me so mad, sad and just down in the dumps. So not fair and I want to cry. I miss him so much and hate being alone. What has happened to my happy life?? I am miserable and want to run away.

Hubs and I just watched "Selma"....wow, it was really powerful.
Rusty that sounds like a lovely way to spend the day. You got up at 3:15 AND made it to the gym???

Dottie-can you get out of the house a little bit? Maybe go to Kohl's and spend some Kohl's cash? Go to a pet store where they sell puppies and hold the puppies for a bit? Do you know of someone in need who might appreciate a home-cooked meal you can bring over? I think your sitting in your house, surrounded by memories of your dear husband, makes you sadder. Just two cents from a person (me) whom you've never met but truly cares about you. HUGS!

Pauly-good for you for taking a Mental Health Day. I used to do that when I was supporting the tavern league in my county (which is what I say when I was drinking at max levels). Did you clean out your PM Inbox?? Treetops was trying to reach you. Pauly, how old are your kids (I've asked this before, but I don't think you saw my question :-) ;-)

Mama-I WAS going to go to the gym but preferred to eat instead. Hahah. Two gym visits for me today. Good thing for setting some boundaries for Devil Diva. I was shocked that someone in her position would actually tell you, a senior manager, to "stop trying so hard." What a moron. Her driveway obviously doesn't go all the way to the garage. Hahahahah

Liz-so glad you had a nice evening with your husband and son. How are things with your two sisters? Are they still inquiring about your drinking or are they mellowing out a little bit? I am in your corner. :-) Great job on handling the conflict at work. I envision you as very beautiful and bright, but not a pushover? Am I right?

Hello, hello everyone. Have had a week of being exhausted. But, I am sober and sticking to AB for now. I had a rough couple of days (or weeks) but finally stopped and am saying NO MORE!! And I am sticking to it. Now I'm just dealing with the not sleeping and then sleeping too much, no energy, and on & on. But, this too will pass.

It is great seeing Jane & Treetops & NS here. They have so much wisdom just like Rusy does. It helps to read all your posts.

My son is going to pick up pizza for dinner tonight (Mother's Day present). He has to work tomorrow. I assume his girlfriend will be over tonight when she gets off work. she usually does. She is such a love and I'm grateful that they have each other.

Not much else going on. I've just been reading, reading, reading. I got free Kindle Unlimited for a month so I have been reading nonstop. :welldone:

I went to my friends house then her sister arrived and we picked up her mother and went to dinner later. Also went to garden center and bought some flowers. I got a some flowers for me too. It was better than sitting home. But I hate coming home alone to an empty house...dogs not included. They are a comfort but not helpful
Then I turned on the overhead light in my bathroom and nothing. Changed the light bulbs and still nothing. I will need to call someone to look at that on Monday so no light to brush my teeth. I swear always something and no hubbs to help me. These times I feel so alone and abandoned.
No clue what I will do tomorrow on Mothers day. I do so much better during the week.

We had a fabulous dinner with the boys and Trina, Clay's girlfriend. It was teppan style, which as you know is one of out faves. I am going to be last today, I hope. Sweet hubs is in the kitchen making a cake for him mom.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies and to everyone's mommies.

I'm having another lazy day. We went to Wal-Mart because I wanted to get a new waffle iron. Who knew that would be so hard to find????? Anyway, I'll end up buying one from Amazon I guess. So, hubby fixed me eggs, potatoes & veggie bacon for breakfast. Delicious.
