a bit late now pie. colour doesnt look like its taken and there are strange patches which have gone darker. not noctine but brush marks. the filler i used and sanded has gone darker too. bloody paint was supposed to be 'soothing white' on the blue spectrum. its blue. soothing white my arse. perhaps i should just go 'smoking den beige' and not fight it.

wear something that smells of mum. failing that, print and cut out a life size face picture of her and tie it onto your head. hope that helps.

had a discussion today with cashiers at homebase as to when off white is blue. its called soothing white. they say it isnt blue because the paint pot says it isnt. i say it is because i photographed the wall i painted and asked random shoppers what colour they thought it was. two shoppers, not quite a survey but they both said blue. in front of the cashiers. thought their heads were going to pop. one painted a piece of paper with it and it was fine. so i suggested maybe i should put A4 paper all over the walls to make sure i get the right colour. then she said she couldnt give a refund because there nothing wrong with it. i said it was not what it said it was. it painted pale blue. not a type of white. i painted it over white. got my money back. anyone would think it was taken out of their wages. as far as i was concerned it was borderline in my favour. i saw their point but i also saw mine and mine trumped.

i have had enough of painting and havent finished. i have just painted over the soothing white/blue and will now try duck egg. tomorrow.

You're never going to believe this Rox, but we've got soothing white from home base on our walls............and there's a hint of very pale blue.........would have bothered us but we have a blue carpet so didn't do anything about it...............mind you Molls thought it had a hint of green..........but it certainly wasn't white.

spooky. blue hue or hint was fine, its why i picked it as the tiles are that way too. i wish the photo would be a proper size on here to show you i wasnt being difficult. well i was because they were.
