Morning Rox and JC. Thanks for the coffee, much needed. I googled Eurovision, seems like our American Idol? I do my share of channel switching while it's on too.

woah hold on there pie. its nothing like american idol, which by the way started as pop idol in britain.

eurovision was supposed to bring the countries of the european union together in gentle competition but has turned into political voting and shunning of countries that are out of favour. russia got booed last year and will this year for instance. greece votes cyprus high and is reciprocated. some of that is no doubt a similar taste in music. countries dont really want to win it now as it has become hugely expensive to put on. it was also so bad it was good and has become a parody of itself. i love it.

actually one thing i did read was it wasnt the european union but european broadcasting something or other. just my assumption from watching it all those years when it was just the obvious european countries. to have synchronised broadcasting across multiple countries.
