Thankyou very much folks for the well wishes (and brilliant images abcowboy!)
I did indeed have a lovely time of it including a surprise dinner, some lovely treats and loads of laughs. Unfortunately this was followed by the worst food poisoning incident I have ever experienced!

I hope everyone is travelling well and surviving this chilly winter OK. I realise not everyone looks forward to winter like I do.

KTAB, I think we might have reached the end of the road for the undies.

Several people are travelling in far off lands; others are dealing with "stuff"; and still others have moved on in their journeys. I hesitate to speak for a bunch of people that I only know over the internet, but I think we have done our dash.

I will stick with MWO though!

Today our workplace turns out the lights. I'm feeling a bit gutted as this was my dream job, but as from today I'm unemployed. I'm here at work at 6am overseeing the removalists take the last of our furniture, stationary and computers away. (mine is the last to go :-) )

However!!!! I have 6 weeks holiday to look forward to!!! Mr B's boy (who turned 17 yesterday) arrives into Sydney today; we have 10 days with him; then 5 weeks in the US and Canada!! I shall embark on the next chapter in my life when I return!

I guess I'm in the "dealing with stuff" category but I do occasionally pop into the drawer and love seeing familiar faces. The past year has been somewhat 'interesting' for me with various health issues, blah blah blah.

Missy, I'm so sorry that the dream job went to shit but I'm very happy that you'll now get a really good holiday with Mr. B. before you embark on your next Life chapter. You deserve all things good.

My good thoughts go to all Undies and visiting Ovaries.

I cleaned the work kitchen this afternoon. For some reason it is important to me that we leave things neat and tidy. Not a single one of our managers has emailed or popped in to say "thanks for making sure there was an orderly closure, with all work completed; all contracts scanned; handover of all remaining tasks without damage to the reputation of the institution".

But when I cleaned the kitchen, I found some of those party poppers left over from goodness knows when. So the remaining three of us will pop them as we turn off the lights for the last time; and go out with a bang!!!! And leave that particular bit of mess for someone else to clean up :-) :victorious:

Well hello there Missy B & Froglet, how lovely to see you both. I suppose you're correct Missy it has run its course but I hope not, but that's for selfish reasons, I would really really miss all of you undie guys.
Sorry about your dream job going up in smoke, who knows maybe it will lead to other things you may not have been in a position to take on. The older I get the more I am realising that the universe has a funny way of surprising us in ways we would never have guessed. I love the imagery of the popping streamers and the the next chapter opening before you.
Froglet I do hope your health issues can be cured and don't detract from the joy you see all around you. You are a special person.
