Good Luck Dottie. I am so proud of you.
Thanks Pauly. Your comments mean a lot to me.
Just work today. Nothing unusual. Bret is out with the boys and I am good with that. Quiet time soothes me.
Everyone sounds ok, but it is way too quiet here!I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Aww mama, you ok there alone? I know when my dog died, I wanted to NOT be at home. Cuddling my little Lucy a little more tonight:love:
Let us know how the date goes Dottie. What color is the new comforter, just me being nosy.
Maybe dhs family think you are lonely? I hope it's not see what they can get! I'm sending you positive vibes on that one. You are a connection to their father.
Pauly I got teary with your dachshund story. We do love our fur babies so!
Garage sale at church was busy and fun. We go again tomorrow. Good busy week for me.

Good evening stepping friends! I am home now from Columbus, Ohio, where we had our annual conference. The recognition dinner was delicious and lovely. I was recognized for my work with my clients, and several clients had written in some very positive feedback about me. I got quite choked up, but I didn't want to start crying in front of my coworkers, especially since tears loosen the glue on my eyelash
extensions! LOL
Mama, soooo sorry about Lucky! I know he was a great source of comfort for you.
Dottie-I think it is fantastic that you are dating, and I'm so glad you met someone nice.
Liz-good luck with the church Garage sale. I hope you make lots and lots of money!!
Big hellos to everyone else. I hope you all are having a peaceful evening. I am off to bed but I will be back in the morning. Last edited by Rusty; June 12, 2015, 08:54 PM.

Dottie-Wow, that was fast! You go, girl!:welldone: I am glad someone on here is getting some action. Haha and wink, wink.
Pauly-your story about your little dachsie choked me up, too. How sweet to keep his ashes near you, and I do not think holding him after he passed away is gross at all!! You always have such supportive comments for people, Pauly. You are never too down or self-absorbed to say a kind word....I bet you have great friends in "real" life.
Hi Nora...thought you would appreciate this since you really "get" what I do for a living. I really appreciate that you "get" it. Anyway, it's our annual conference, and I am surrounded by other contract auditors, consultants, etc. and the certification body I work for decided for the 3rd year in a row, that not only did we need the required Continuing Professional Development training, but we needed more MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS! UGHHHHHHHHHHHH!:cuss: So, I did something that I used to snarl about when other people did it... I had my laptop up and I did other work as I was "listening" to these speakers.
Well, my car is in the shop again. Whatever the mechanic did last week to fix the AC did NOT work, so here I sit, chatting with all you lovely people.
Ok, time to do some work. Hope you all have a great Saturday!!!

You are making me blush.....LOL
That sure brings up a whole new set of things to think about....Haven't gotten lucky with anyone but hubbs in 20 years....hhhmmm
Off to run a few errands then we are going to an event and I will meet his adopted daughter. She and her wife are celebrating their 1st anniversary. Should be interesting.

Ummm....Dottie, I wasn't talking about THAT. This thread IS called One STEP At A Time. That doesn't mean going to 4th base on the 3rd date. Hahahahahha...Those of us who don't get it think about it a lot. LOL. OOh, can't wait to hear about the adopted daughter and her wife. Geez, my life is awfully dull.

Happy Saturday everyone!
Dots - really glad that you are getting out. And I'm with Rusty, not TMI! LOL We've got to live thru someone. LMAO
Rusty - your annual conference sounds awful. I swear that people like to make it as convoluted as possible. I was trying to read some DFARS clauses again yesterday and I was just like - Please put it in English. ROTFL
I think that is wonderful that you got recognition for your work. You have a hard job. We were so glad to have a good auditor.....he was really helpful and informative.
Mama - I've been thinking about you so much. I'm so sorry about Lucky. We have done the same thing - just held our babies.
Pauly - How are you doing? That's really sweet that you have your doggie's ashes.
Liz - when is your trip? It's soon isn't it? Great that you are helping out at the Church garage sale. We need to really step it up and get ready for our sale. We need to do it when I'm in this mood - otherwise, I get sentimental and won't get rid of anything!
The other guys insurance has decided that it's a 'shared responsibility' accident. So, I have to go thru my insurance. $500 deductible. Drat. But, I have a rental car and they towed my car to the shop. I'm hoping that my car isn't ready for a week and a half so that I have the deductible. LOL
Things ok here. Hubby & I started the new season of 'Orange is the New Black'. We are planning on Disneyland in the morning. I had been planning on joining a woman from work at a Church for bingo tonight but I'm waiting until next week. Don't want to pay the $40.00 to play. But, I think that will be fun. She has been going for the past month and says it helps to get out of the house and not just sit there.
Ok - catch you all later. I'm still reading like crazy. I'm grateful that I have rediscovered that."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

OK today's adventure:
Had lunch with another fellow. Short Jewish man. Very nice, bought lunch, had a nice chat, he is a lawyer semi retired. I am a good 2 inches taller and I like to wear a little heel. He doesn't have an issue. So we are going out again Tuesday.
This is so cracking me up. Right now I have 4 fellows I have or will have had a second/third date with.
There have been a few that I wanted to run from the room....mouth open chewer was just one....LOL
Going out tonight with fellow from last night.
I am considering creating a spread sheet to keep track of them......OMG....what a hoot!!!
