Yes Liz..my boys can cook a few things. If they want to eat right now, they have to cook! Clay and I love cooking together and I have taught him my easy stuff. To be honest...they do it when Daddy prods them. Otherwise they would be a McDonalds.

Morning all,
Date yesterday said I was intriguing so I emailed him and asked what that meant and this is what he said,
You are intriguing because of your intelligence and your perceptiveness and your confidence. Quite a combination and it translates into what the French call “sang froid” or aplomb. It is a very unusual combination of characteristics. May account for your surprising (to me) ability to recover from the loss of your husband. Also you look me in the eye and that counts for a lot with me…….I wrote back, I wouldn’t say that I have recovered from my husband’s death but rather have been able to adapt and not dwell on what I lost but rather to look to the potential the future holds. Hope that makes sense.
I think maybe folks who read that I am dating figure I have just gotten over hubbs death and that is so not the case but rather as I told him I have adapted. I think there is a huge diference between the two.
Going to hit the treddie and later take my car to get the light in the roof fixed. When they put the sunroof in I dont think they anchored the light correctly because when i hit a bump it falls from the ceiling.
Will probably visit dad after that..

Interesting Dottie. Perhaps you can share your insight with others who have lost and can't seem to move beyond it. There must be somewhere out there on the Internet you could share your story with others. Just a thought.

Dottie - I think that sums you up perfectly. I hope I will be the same way when that day comes. Actually, I kind of feel like I am weathering a lot of shit pretty well myself...one foot in front of the other no matter what. Possible loss of my house, wrecked car, stressful new job, putting my beloved cat down....it doesn't come close to what you have lost, but maybe we are all here b/c we are tough survivors and have a need to give back and teach.
It's 7:45 and I just walked in, so going to eat and flop.
Lizz - no matter what , we are here for you. Have a fabulous trip and I am glad your son got his work visa fixed!!

OK the line up so far is:
Thursday lunch with fellow from the class I took that I dated 30 years ago. Should be fun to catch up. Not sure if we will "date" again. i am not sure why we broke up. Maybe he will tell me...that is so bad.
Saturday lunch with a fellow I dated early on. He was having job issues and so didnt contact me. Now he has a job and wants to go to lunch. OK he is nice and a widower so we do have some things in common.
That is all so far. ;-))
