some of my downstairs lights have blown. i have an old fashioned fusebox so i havent a clue what to do about it. i have done it before but i cant remember what i did. getting to really hate this house.

Just screw it out and the red spot will have blown on one of them. Screw in a new one

ill just sit in the dark. a bulb blew yes, but it has blown a fuse in the fusebox. the switch didnt trip.

Another Midwesterner - hi, Rusty! It's nice when there is a co-time zoner here. I'm so glad those of you who've been quiet lately are getting talkative again. It's good to witness your normal everyday AF lives. Plus I like learning about life in UK.

ireland is its own country. northern ireland was invaded by cromwell i think. it is part of uk along with england scotland and wales. itchy bit of history between us politically.

eta, ireland was invaded but northern ireland wanted to stay in the union. well, some did/do. bombings and shootings until very recently. i think ill leave it now as its very complicated and i havent studied the subject so this was just a vague potted history.
