Hello everyone It is so hot. It's 98° with a 'realfeel' of 103°. It just is miserable. Thank goodness that friend of mine gave us the small air conditioning unit. We can sit in the living room and be cool. We had to go to the pharmacy and market a couple hours ago. I was so irritable. The cashier asked me how we were doing. I told her it's too hot and I'm irritable and my husband is scared to get around me. She laughed.

Not much else going on here. I've just been reading. Stayed up way too late last night so I had a nap earlier. I think that's why I was so cranky.

Oh, Nora...you are worse off than we are! We have 92 degrees at 90% humidity. No idea what the "real feel" is, but I still rode my bicycle to the noon meeting and it felt wonderful! Like I was flying. It was a great meeting. I went to my old house to water my multitudinous plants, and Mrs. Fen ambushed me with divorce paper work. I helped to fill it out, but cried. I want to be so through with crying over her.

I purchased some heirloom tomatoes for my uncooked tomato sauce for pasta, and the insalata caprese.

The cicadas are buzzing in the trees and I couldn't help but think that Mrs. Fen and I are parting ways at the same time of year that we began..with the electric buzzing in the trees, the height of summer. This is so hard. I guess I just need to keep plugging along, calling my sponsor, doing what I need to do. I cannot imagine ever marrying again. Or even dating. : (

Dottie, how long before your beau can retire?

Pauly hope u feel better soon.
Fen he has a while. He is starting over at this point. Had to spend down to take care of his wife. He is 64 and hoping to retire at 70.
Spent the day together and tomorrow I am going to lunch with him and his siblings will be there. This should be interesting.
It was hot and humid here today but not like Nora or Pauly...geeezzz that is horrible...We did go for a walk but it was later in the day. Got my 10,000 steps....WooHoo.

Fen, my heart breaks for you. Maybe it's just too soon to even think about dating or marriage, perhaps in time. I happen to think you are holding up very well, under the circumstances.

Nora, I've taken up coloring, too. Plus there's a cool app called "colorfy" that you can put on your phone or tablet that's tons of fun.
