Pauly, we have your back. Ignore this vile person. None of what she says represents how your true friends feel.

Peggy isn't showing improvement today, her improvement seems more apparent in the evening. I still worry about the quality of her life, she walks so slowly and painfully it takes me an hour to walk her what used to be 20 min. several times a day.

She has shown me unconditional love for 7 yrs and still tries to wag her tail when I approach.

Nora I had a slug day too. After church we went to lunch, Mark chose. Poor thing didn't get a whole lot of chicken in Switzerland Nd that's what he wanted! So we pigged out. Then went to pick up some cake at the bakery to bring home! We were so stuffed, all we did was just sit around the rest of the day. Mark showed us his pictures and we showed him our vacation pics which he had not yet seen. All in all a good lazy day.
Fen, I'm sorry about the cat. Is he feeling better?
Skendall, I hope Peggy does improve. Do we have any idea if this is permanent or does it wear off? What does the vet say?

Hi lizzann, I'm getting a lot of support from F/B. Apparently the antidote takes several weeks. If you withdraw it and if the dog goes back to the old symptoms re-occur then maintain the antidote for up to 6 weeks I think.

Your lunch with Mark sounds like a lot of fun, how cool to feed him up.

I hope that Peggy pulls through all of this.

Going to p.t. this morning...then a noon meeting and calling a guidance counselor at the technical college.

I hope you all have a great day!

Sorry, Liz...I forgot to answer your question. According to Mrs. Fen, the cat had a fairly good night. She's still not eating the way she should be, however. I think we will end up euthanizing her soon. : (

                          Where is everybody?

Today was pretty bad. I did have a leisurely breakfast, did my exercises, went to P.T. and a noon meeting. Took my mom mall walking and on the way driving her home, J called. The cat sitter reported that the cat was hiding out beneath the bed, not eating, etc. J is in chicago visiting her mom. J asked me to go to the vet's office and pick up several syringes of pain killer for the poor cat. As soon as I dropped my mom off, I headed off for the vet's office. In serious rush hour traffic. Of course, it took ages for them to draw up all the syringes. I got to the house and gave the cat one half of a dose, just to make sure she doesn't get too woozy. I did some grocery shopping in the interim and headed back to the cat. She was not woozy or hungry, so I gave her the rest of her meds. I waited around for half an hour and she accepted a treat! I hope that she will eat during the night.

I don't really have high hopes. The vet did say it could take up to a week for the prednisone to reduce the inflammation of the pancreas. While I was at the vet's office, I got the business card of a vet who comes to your home to euthanize your pets. I can't see dragging the poor dear out any longer. It's too stressful for her. : (

With all my running around, I did not contact a guidance counselor. My p.t. appt. went well, with the best gains made despite my crappy week.
