I had a smashing day --- off up mountains and round lakes and all sorts --- came home and fell asleep

Not surprised. Started watching the Dirty Dozen and nodded off. Don't think I've ever seen the end of that film.

I've been watching a programme on food addiction of all things.
Looked every bit as bad as alcohol - maybe harder. We can shut out alcohol & not be near it - but we have to eat and watch others eat every day.
He'd lost his job and was about to lose his house & wife. Spent 40 a day on food for himself!
The guy clearly had issues with depression - but it wasn't mentioned at all.
Just told get up stop eating & exercise.

He cried like a baby & the final credits it said he is still fighting his demons.
Sad. He was only 46 and was given 5 years to live at the rate he was going.

Satz - that program sounds so sad. I think that overeating is an addiction. You are right - that is harder because we have to eat!
