I can't remember how old I was when I first had a beer? Maybe 15? I do remember the first time I was drunk though, on tequila at age 18. OMG, that was just terrible.
We were all so sick and everyone in the house ended up drunk. It was the 4th of July. Even her brother was drunk, who never did anything wrong as I remember. It ended up a very un-fun evening.
Yep...I heard stories about the whiskey on the gums.
I wonder how many of us would not have a problem with AL if that gene was never awakened?

Just sitting here thinking about the gene....I know my daughter and one of my son's drink....my son doesn't drink much but I'm a little afraid for my daughter who is 21...her drinking resembles mine a bit too much and she too like me suffer from depression.

I didn't give either one of them AL as children...but sorry to say I did give beer to my oldest son. He drank a little for a while but hasn't in many many years and he's 32. I was 18 when I had him...and drinking and messing with speed.

So....my 4 grandbabies have never had AL....I wonder where they may end up....

Pauly, please don't ever let a troll be your "last straw". This one probably knows you are vulnerable right now. I find your posting style refreshing - I'm the Eternal (self) Editor as a friend once said - it is exhausting and can make for some stilted posts. Type away!.

you are a sad individual. Come clean - tell us who you are and what your real problems are.
God knows we'll listen to anyone on here & have.
But, failing that, fuck off !!!

Madame is a sick woman. I think a lot of us know who she is. It's best to ignore this so called "woman". She knows she needs help but instead would rather hurt others than address her own problems.

Pauly, you are an incredible lady and you know how much everyone here and in your life love you. I am a horrible writer, I am so matter of fact and I can't even begin to express the feelings and compassion that comes thru your posts. You keep doing what you do - you are an amazing woman.
AL free since March 17th 2011...loving this life. No drinking no matter what.

Hi my name is Lori and i am so happy to be here.

Red, I agree. Pauly is a very, caring and compassionate lady. I love reading her posts.

Madame, I don't know who you are but know we will protect Pauly. I always find it's better to ignore posts like Madame's, but this bothered me.

As Nora said, you don't have to attend every fight, or something like that.

                    Pauly rocks hard!

Thanks for the thread Blue. My early teens was my first experience. Marsala and coke. I was sick for days and would nearly puke at the memory of the taste for years after.

These days I am an AL free zone and thriving. :horn:
