Mama - absolutely it doesn't cost anything to listen. This new job that you have right now is just so much work. So many hours a day. Did you ever get a review? Anyway, I'll keep positive thoughts with you no matter what you decide.
Fen - that is so great that you are meeting so many people. I never was that comfortable when I was going. I'm so shy anyway. I would get there sit down & make small talk as much as I had to before the meeting & at breaks. But, as soon as it was over, I was out of there. I should have given it a chance.
I'm sorry that your Mom isn't doing well on the DMV practice tests. Hopefully, once she runs thru it a few times, she'll do better.
Rusty - Oh my goodness. I'm so glad that your Mom is ok. I hope that the pacemaker makes her feel so much better. I have heard that people notice a big improvement.
So glad that you didn't get drinking thoughts. (I just had to hunt back to find out how long you have been AF - Congratulations!) I hope that I handle things as well.
I know what you mean about being on the road and away from her. It is so hard.
Liz - did you cook your hubby's fish for dinner tonight?
Dottie - waiting to hear some details. ROTFL
FT - You are sounding really good. It is great to see you back here. Your positive energy is so much appreciated."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

SK - anymore news on the house? I've been thinking of you.
Pauly - I hope you are doing ok. I saw that you are posting on the abstinence thread. Good for you. You are doing so great in reaching out and doing whatever needs to be done. To be honest, I have been watching you for the past 6-8 months and seeing how hard you were working it. You really helped to give me motivation. So - thank you.

Hey guys,
Rusty, that's scary about your mom! I'm glad you were able to handle it sober. I aspire to be like you someday!
Fen, glad you have a new sponsor. Sorry about moms driving test. My hubs looked the other way when his fathers driving deteriorated. He had accident after accident. His insurance company dropped him and hubs still went and got him new insurance. Only one company would insure him and the premium was ridiculously expensive. He then a few months later on News years day ( he never drank) went the wrong way while going home and to totaled his car, crashing into two other cars. There were injuries and he and two others ended up in the hospital. Hubs then had his license take away. Do what you need to keep mom safe. I know it's hard. FIL was angry but he got over it.
Dottie, a new guy? Do tell
Mama, that's an interesting little tidbit you shared. I hope it works out for you. You have been working so very much.
Nora hubby cleaned those fish and froze them. It was late when he finished and we had dinner on the table already.
Pauly, SK , FT hope your doing ok.
Good day today at work. How often can I say that?
Off to chill a bit before bed.

Morning all,
Well new guy wouldn't make eye contact. I find that very important. He might have been nervous but I like someone to look at me when talking particularly a new person. I like to read them. And there was NO spark.
3rd date guy has been fun so far and had not tried to take me to bed...LOL
Meeting tonight with the police class group. Jim who I dated a while back is taking the class this time is going with me. He is picking me up maybe on his bike if the weather is nice. He was the Catholic who just has to marry another Catholic and I respect that so we are just friends with NO benefits. Except maybe attending these meetings together.
mama your job sounds so stressful so talking to someone costs nothing and maybe you can escape the stress and relax before you have a heart attack and I am really serious about that.

Hi everybody.
Rusty that is tough and the p/maker sounds as if its working well. When I get stressed drinking is my very last go to and I don't even think about it. Basil tea is my go to.
Mama, I would very happy if you got a more stress-free arrangement. Who can work those hours and stay healthy. Big hugs.
No more news on the house showings.
I hired a person the other day who advertised odd jobs, handyman, etc. I needed pictures re-hung and a drapery rod installed. Problem was - he doesn't own tools! He's such a nice young man and I promised to promote him but it's a little difficult! No pictures hung or drapery rod - he offered to vacuum to which I said okay to.
Sunny, but cold day here.Enlightened by MWO

Skendall, that sounds a bit odd. Please be careful or send him over here to vacuum!
So pool is covered. Always stressful but it's done. Hubs and I made up ;-). Got all of my errands done and I'm exhausted.
Mama, I hope this works out for you can you talk to your current boss about your situation? Certainly you can't be expected to keep up at this pace.
Well just a quick check in. Tomorrow is my early day is off to bed for me.
