Aw dear sweet rusty. Just anxiety I think. I don't even know. Like you I'm thinking at some point I will be able to moderate. Sadly I know this is not true. Yes I did have quite a few sober days, 53, but who's counting? Licking my wounds, onward and upward.

Nora, the only thing I signed were the filing papers. Don't worry.

SKendall, your hubs wanted to be pals while he was fooling around with somebody else? Man, he and Mrs. Fen must be twins! She doesn't really have any close friends, so I think she expects me to be her confidant and bff while we go through this. The mind boggles!

I'm sorry, Liz. And yeah, we all have been there so many times.

              Morning all
Paul is coming over later. It is too darn hot to do much of anything fun outside. Maybe we will find some fun indoor activity....hehehehehe
Anyway my inbox is lit up with new prospects. As I have said when one fellow falls of the truck there are 2 to take his place.
I need to watch what I am eating. Too much eating out is making me puffy from all the salt. I just bought new tight jeans and I dont want to out grow them...
Liz dont beat yourself up. We have all been there done that and it doesnt help. Dust yourself off and move forward. We are here for you and vent away if it helps.

I am home! Gonna rest and attempt to have date night, but no promises.
Fenny - I am so sorry about your kitty, but I felt the same way. We just didn't want Lucky Cat to suffer any more. And I still want to come punch J....sorry.
I'll check in tomorrow and tell ya'll about the trip.
                Hang in there Lizz.
I have no new panties or bras....boohiss.
I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Well - gee.....I don't check in and find out that Dottie has pulled out the checkers game. LOL

Mama - I hope that you enjoy whatever you do. Get some rest!

Rusty - same to you - get some rest.

Liz - how are you doing now? Feeling any better. You know what.......53 days is amazing. It really is. You will get there again. I understand completely how you felt and how you feel now.

One thing that I have been doing this time is logging on every morning on the Newbies Nest Roll Call. I don't know why but it feels like I already wrote it down - I can't drink today because I made a commitment this morning. Also, I stop by the 24 hour thread. And the AA Daily Reflections. Just enough to make me stop & realize that I have a problem because I am definitely getting to the point where I'm telling myself that I'm not THAT bad. That little voice that says, oh for goodness sakes - you just went without for 6 weeks.....you can drink occasionally....you'll be more careful....and on and on and on............
Luckily so far, I have been able to get right past that little voice and see the reality. But, I know it's there and that is why I am so grateful to have you all here for support.

Nora, we can't moderate. Those are the facts. I am so glad that you are starting to recognize that the little voice is lying to you.
That's why I keep going to meetings.

I went out to search for more bras today. Good lord. There's not much out there for a gal my size. I finally found some Hanes "medium" bras without underwires that worked for me. In violet and navy blue! I am used to white, but there was no such thing at Penney's. At least not in my size. When my sister wives get home from work, the first thing they do is take off their bras...I have never had that need, but there is next to nothing out there in my size and while I am smaller, I do need SOMETHING!

                            NoraC,

Shamble´s post (a new post today) was so honest and inspiring as the story really shows us how we are all just one drink away from a drunk again. It all starts with a person thinking they can now moderate (because they´ve abstained for so many days), or they can only have one and control it. Keep screaming NO louder than that voice Nora.

Liz, did you go in the pool at all? That's one thing I've been enjoying with my Y membership.

Lazy morning. The squirrels and chippies are all chirping and squalling. I think they get excitable at this time of year. Squirrels keep digging up a plant on the deck and I keep replanting it, but it's finally dead for real. They just dig it up, it's not even like they're burying nuts in the pot. Little gomers!

I'm going to visit mom, then go hiking.

                                Later, peeps!
