Went out with Jerry tonight...he is different...not so harsh and demanding. He was very affectionate and caring...very strange. I am not complaining but just wondering what happened. Did me standing up to him make him change is demeanor??????
Going to see him again tomorrow night. Gets more confusing by the day....LOL

So Lucy slept through the night which is unusual for her. She woke me up at 6:45 kissing my face wanting her breakfast, so that's a good sign. If she did aspirate yesterday it is likely she would have a fever by now. I'm just no good at this mommy stuff, ya know?
What's everyone up to this weekend. Apple picking with the kids. Feel kinda weird because hubby's not coming and the girls are bring their guys. Hubby is taking a class at the community school "From the couch to 5K". Lol. I guess Mark will be my date. Anyway perhaps I will be baking with all those apples later.
Fen are you hiking this weekend? I'm thinking maybe hubby and I could go again tomorrow. Need to keep myself busy. Cravings were so freaking horrible yesterday.

Good Morning Friends,

I lost a long and well-thought post this morning. DAMN! I hate when that happens. I am at home, waiting for my truck to get out of the shop...$2,100 in maintenance. OUCH! Good thing I work a lot. ;-)

Yesterday was fun...a new haircut and color, and my dear friend drove over an hour in a torrential downpour just to have dinner with me last night. She is at the top of my Gratitude List today.

Skendall-how creative, sweet and unselfish of you to create stories for your granddaughter! Wow, I am really impressed. She is getting a priceless gift she can give to her children and grandchildren. I am nominating you for Grandmother of the Year!:welldone::hug:

Dottie-I echo what Liz said. Please be careful with Jerry and don't ignore the warning signs if you see them. As I have mentioned, I have dated A LOT of men, and 3 of them were extremely controlling...and one I dumped before he could become violent with me. Don't be fooled by the fact that he's suddenly being nice to you. That's kind of typical for very controlling men. When they realize they screw up, they don't apologize, they turn on the charm like a faucet until they think you've forgotten their past bad behavior...but then they end up going back to their true selves. Just my two cents.

Liz-:yay: on fighting those cravings! Ugh, don't you hate when they last all day. I always felt like I was seriously going to lose my mind. "From the couch to 5K..." LOL Love it!! So glad Lucy is feeling better. Apple picking sounds like fun.

Nora-congratulations on all your AF time! GREAT JOB!!!

Pauly-so glad you tied down your trigger to your monthly bill. Significant for sure.

Mama-I hope you have a fun date night and a restful weekend that is not consumed by work.

Off for a steak with hubs. Rusty, I get my hair did on the 8th! Every two months. Still need to try false eyelashes but with this foreclosure fight starting for real, I may not have anything girlie for a while....It's all good...it's in God's hands at this point.

Good morning all. I know I posted last here last night! Darn, where did it go? Anyway, had lots of fun apple picking with the kids. There was a wine tasting there, my girls wanted to go, so my son and son in law entertained ourselves otherwise. That guys, is a first for me.
I just drank my green tea. We had a nice lunch together. It was a beautiful day for that long drive, the leaves are starting to turn. The rest of the day consisted of coring, peeling and baking. Then of course eating the fruits of our labor, delicious!
Rusty, sorry about your truck. That kinda money hurts, but you do drive a lot.
Nora, I'm so happy your happy. You are doing so well and I for one am so happy for you, it's hard and you're doing it!
Mama, I saw your pics on Facebook. I thought your son and gf broke up? I know how much you liked her, are they back? How was the steak?

Well happy Sunday. It's a little cooler and cloudy outside today. Hubby is officially in training for his 5k and I will go walk/run with him today. Plus we are practicing our hoola hooping before our class starts. I'm gonna get this weight off if it kills me, and it probably will.
Oh and Lucy seems to be doing better. We think she is sore from the "rabbit incident" the other day. We tend to forget she is a dog.

Off to church then grocery then think Jerry is coming over later to watch football. We had a nice date last night. Dinner out and good conversation. I am getting to know him better. Told him he had a huge ego and was a workaholic and he agreed. Told him he needs to check the ego at the door when he leaves work. I dont think he is used to dealing with an outspoken woman...LOL

I remember the stories from three weeks ago...that's so cool, SKendall!

I spent the first half of yesterday at the vet's office with my mom and her elderly feline. He's been vomiting for a couple of days and he's a "kidney" cat, so he can't afford to lose weight or hydration. They gave him fluids and an anti-nausea med. I suspect the new treats I got him were somehow involved, so I got his regular brand for him yesterday.

I went garage saling and scored a ton of Spanish language learning materials, including Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone for only fifteen bucks! Rosetta Stone alone costs hundreds of dollars. Today I will go hiking. Getting used to doing stuff by myself.

Dottie, take your time with Jerry. Remember, in the early days people are on their best behavior. I know you have your head on straight.

Liz, sounds like you had a good time...I might hit an orchard today!

Yep Fen u are correct. He can be so sweet and endearing one minute then a major pain in the butt the next...I think I wanted this to work because I have had a run of non productive first meets with men. I have to be patient. I am NOT going to be his nurse and he just doesn't get the fact that he is a walking heart attack and such a type A....Need to make a plus/minus chart and see where he falls. I really dont think Paul is it either. He will never have much money and I am not going to supplement him. Hubbs and I worked hard to save the money we have and I am not going to spend it unwisely. Jerry continually talks about how much money he has but is the cheapest man I have ever met...that is probably why he has money but I want to enjoy life and not pinch each penny until it cries..LOL. I already told him I have NO intention of being his cook, maid and whore....ugh....I dont know but dating at this age sucks for sure....Going to watch football, he is supposed to come over late and I guess I am cooking....that is not something I plant to make a habit of.
Little dog I have on the phenobarbital is peeing in her crate a lot. I need to do some research and see if it is a side affect. Had to wash her bedding. Whole room smells like dog pee...Vet did blood work and nothing showed up so yet another mystery.
