Have not had to play solitaire checkers lately but might be preferable to the IDIOTS.....LOL
And at this age shouldn't they know what they are doing???? NOT, OMG I should not have to be their teacher....maybe this is why they are not married....I am so bad....

I agree about Rusty...she always addresses everybody and has such kind words for all of us.

Pauly, that's so cool about the tortoise...where will you keep him and what is his name? I hear you about waiting to clean when Louie is gone, LOL.

Dottie, they say you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince...don't settle for anything less. And really...at our age, a guy should know his way around a woman's body a bit. I know we're all different and need to direct a bit in the beginning, but he should have the basics down by now.

Mama, I'm glad you had a good date night.

I did manage to go hiking today. I went to mom's place and gave her cat his meds. He is on another hunger strike. He's really finicky, so he will do really well on one type of food for a while, then lose his appetite for it and we have to scramble to find another type that he will eat. So frustrating!

I have been to Spain with Mrs. Fen in the past, but would like to visit again, hence the Spanish lessons. Maybe after my mom is gone I will settle there. Who knows?

Fen,the tortoise will hang out in the backyard, he's already dug his hide out spot in the dirt my cats are on a hunger strike too!I ran out of the Target brand they've been eating, picked something else up at the grocery store and they wouldn't eat it,picked up another brand and had to mix tuna with it so they'd eat, turds!never knew cats were so picky, especially these 2 are young, speaking of which off to mix up some food for them, have a great night everyone
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I read back and you guys have me laughing! Checkers, solitaire, idiots. Lots going on!
I agree about rusty as well, a real sweetie you are.
Nora, I haven't slept until 11 in forever.
Fen, hope the kitty is ok! $15 dollars for Rosetta Stone? That stuff really works! My son sort of um bored it from the Internet shall we say, in German and he picked it up amazingly! Enough that he got around Switzerland and was able to write my parents cards in German! (My parents are both from Germany). Good luck with it, keep us updated on your progress.
Mama you deserve a nothing day.
Dottie, sorry about the rebound with Jerry. Just keep taking it slow. Hope the pup is ok.
Pauly will the Winslow chase that turtle. Cause we all know how that'll end.
FT, you are right, the right one will come along. To look forward to your posts.
After church we went to visit my niece who was running a dog adoption event today. Turns out there was a huge street fIr there too. It was beautiful day. Hubby and I took a walk together, because you know he's in training now for his 5k. Anyway it was a good weekend, thank God! Goodnight my friends.

                        Good Morning, Friends,

Liz, you sound good! It sounds like you had a fun weekend. :-)

Fenny-so glad you got to go out hiking...exercise is so important as far as keep the AL demon off our backs.

Pauly-please post a pic of the tortoise. Are you going to name it?

                        Skendall-how is Peggy?

Mama-off to Orlando? Glad you had fun on Date Night. Any checkers, or Pre-Checkers? I am a very dirty girl.

Nora-I'll be taking you with me today to Pittsburgh and then St. Louis later in the week.

FT-the right woman will come along if it's meant to be, or maybe you can just be a happy bachelor.

Is everybody ready to make some kind of Gratitude List or Gratitude Thought List this week? I am. I am grateful for second chances, and third chances, and 50 chances when it comes to friendships. Today, I am grateful that I could have a fresh start with regards to friendships. I have a whole new group of friends who know NOTHING of my AL past...and I am guarding that secret with a vengeance. I do not want them to even think about envisioning that overweight, bloated woman. The toxic people who were triggers for my drinking are out of my life forever...yippee!! I cut them loose. They can make someone else miserable.

I am leaving for Pittsburgh in a few hours and I have tons of stuff to get done before I leave. Happy AF Monday, everybody!

I prefer sober checkers, but I must admit I have had some fun drunken checkers. Usually followed by a walk of shame the next morning.........................................
