Hey guys! Oh yes, that most definitely was one um, odd looking potato!
Norma congrats on 60 days. That's fantastic. Yes we are lucky to have our moms!
Mama, sorry about the floors. I can imagine why you're feeling blue. Please hang in there and know we are here rooting for you  maybe an evening at nanas will cheer you up. What happened with the job?
Fen, I've never had a sponsor, but I think I would be terrified if she were tough! Did you choose her or do they assign? Yes moms know. I can tell when my little ones are unhappy.
Skendall, not to add fuel to the fire but I'd be mad as all get out! She has rights to your and hubs house! Hubby doesn't want a divorce now. You are one strong woman! So you have a daughter or did I miss understand your post?
Dottie how was your day? Did you have a date?
Rusty FT how are you guys?
After church we went to another street fair. Such a nice day for it. Hubs and I took a walk at the duck pond today. I'm a good tired now.
Hope I didn't miss anyone, sweet dreams!

SK - I am sorry. That is awful and it is absolutely ridiculous that he gets to stay in the house. I am glad that you are seeing a lawyer soon.
Liz - sounds like a really nice day. So great that you & your family get out and do things together.
Pauly - how are you doing? I hope that you got to just laze around."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

SKendall, I suspect that hubs does not want to divorce because he will be accountable for what he ruined of your 401K. He can't afford to divorce you! I strongly suggest that you find an attorney who will assist you. Your hubs went awol and spent all of your combined monies. Please follow up on this.

Good Evening Friends,
Anyone staying awake long enough to see the Blood Red Super Moon? I am giving it my best shot!!
Skendall-I forgot to mention in my last post that I think your friend was rude to mention Peggy's shedding. Shame on her. Glad you had a nice time, though. Sooooo sorry about your divorce and the extra slap in the face of your ex spending your retirement savings on someone who used to be your friend. Wow, that bites! I sure hope you can sell your house. I am sure it's lovely. Have you written any new books for your granddaughter? Please share if you did. :happy2:
Fen-I got tears in my eyes when I read your post: Itry not to let her know I'm sad, but she's my mom...of course she knows I'm sad! No matter how old the mom or the kid, a mom is a mom. I'm so glad I still have her.
Mama-sooo sorry to hear about your floors! Man, you sure have had a rough year...when it rains, it pours. How did the interview go?
Pauly-I thought of you today. My dear friend went to Vegas for the first time two weeks ago. She is 65, and is not a gambler. She went with her sister, who is a HUGE gambling fan. They stayed at The Monte Carlo and saw an Illusionist, who was fascinating. She also liked the Venetian hotel. What is your favorite hotel?
Nora-the potato cracked me up! At first I thought it had fingers....WOW! Hahahahha!!
Liz-did you have a relaxing day?
Well, I saw my mom today....and the bandages over her incision had such a caustic adhesive on them that when the doctor pulled the bandages off, they gave her second-degree burns! She said that was worst than the incision itself. So glad to be going through this sober....drinking is not an option. I used to pooh pooh the fact that alcohol was a depressant. I totally underestimated it. My mom, sister and I had a lovely visit.
Hi to Dottie, FT, ABCCowboy and other lurkers and guests.
I am off to CT tomorrow for work..and sorry to say, I will probably miss the blood red moon. I'm going to bed.
See you in the morning!!

It might start screaming when we try to cook it Hahahaha!I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm scared it's going to attack me while I'm asleep. Probably open one of those eyes and start after me. Can't you hear the soundtrack in your mind? LOL"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Rusty, does mom maybe have an allergy to the adhesive? I can't believe either how depressed I was while drinking. I'm feeling so much better now. I really thought al was helping my mood. Who knew, anyway my daughters and I went to the Monte Carlo a few years ago. I'm not a gambler but we enjoyed the entertainment, the food and the energy in Las Vegas.
Nora, your potato gave me nightmares last night! You had me laughing with the attack! How did you find it? What will you do with it?
Mama, how are you feeling today? I'm a little worried about you.
Off to breakfast with a dear friend, our kids used to be in play group together! It's super cloudy here today, got my fingers crossed for some rain!

I'm sorry about your mom's reaction to the adhesive, Rusty. My mom has the same issue. Their skin is so thin at that age, bandaids can tear my mom's skin when they're removed. I hope she feels better soon.
Nora, I could totally hear the soundtrack, and one of those freaky eyes opening, staring balefully at you while you and hubs fumble frantically for the door...Muahhahhhahhhahh!
The eclipse was fairly early, here. I took a pic with my phone but all you can see is a tiny red dot. : ( Still, what a pretty sight it was!
Mama, keep us posted...you had an interview?
Pauly, I hear you about Nora's mutant potato...I think she should shoot it first, to make certain it's dead before she cooks it.
Liz, I hope you have a fun breakfast and a rainy day.

Hey pauly, I'm not trying to be funny or a smart ass lol, but I'm not sure if I ever really felt anxiety... could you describe it for me? Maybe I have felt it all along, just didn't know it...Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Morning all
Gym at noon then I am helping my friend again with moving her husband. It is so sad to watch him go downhill. Not sure which is worse losing my husband in the blink of an eye or seeing him deteriorate slowly...neither is good. Today would have been hubbs birthday. Trying not to dwell on that but it is sad too. His daughter called me this weekend so that was nice. She wants to come visit but it will just be too hard on me I think. And what do I do with her and a 14 year old boy when the amusement park is closed for the summer. Think I will put them off until next summer and I can take them to ride all the rides hubbs wouldn't go on with me. Who knows but now is not the time.
