Good morning, Shams and ta for the coffee,
Dentist's this morning. Poor dentist is going to weep as this was supposed to be the last visit and a bit of back tooth dropped off.

Morning Shams and all to come. Another thing about al that has me a peeved or mad lol is so many people putting up pics of drink and what they are going to for evening the wit a few scoops. And its mostly the same ones all the time almost weekly like such an occasion of after a hard days/weeks work we need a few drinks eg I need this I earned this its wine oclock time and heres a new one its thirsty Thursday lol. For all the campaigns like drink aware nothing has changed Alcohol is a big part of a lot of peoples world. Its still a bit tough out there for non drinkers and more so for recovering alcoholics. Morning rant over lol. going to get a meeting in at 1pm. I did some clearing out of old cds and bric a brac for the charity shop and cleaned the living room made space for some stuff so didn't go out yesterday. Another nice sunny day forecast.

when I was drinking, I was never aware of the sheer volume of pro-alcohol propaganda being pushed everywhere. It is really shocking. I doubt, Mary, that there will be a sea change like there has been with tobacco, but why that is is a very interesting thing to ponder over (yet) another coffee. (Decaf, I can only manage one real cup atm!)
Last day of Librium regime today, and 10 days clean now.

Its funny how the booze ads get to us at the beginning at the moment the gambling ones scare the bejaysus out of me..............not that I'm a gambler but they'll be starting about now on TV...........coaxing the Mums to have wee game of bingo after dropping the kids off at school, kids in bed have another go this time with a couple of glasses of wine...........later on the casino ones............give us £10 we'll give you £50 and this time next year we'll have your house.

That was my rant of the day.

I don't think we have those gambling ads in the Emerald isle? Do we? I sometimes wonder if a gambling addiction is worse than drink. or addiction to porn or food?

Hello Army,jumping in on the ads for al discussion, there are so many ads for drinking and in them all everyone is having fun,being active,playing sports etc,or the lovely couple having a picnic with their glasses of wine,its bullshit!certain channels we watch are worse,don't get me started on the gambling, on the rare occasion that I do go play,I can feel the same addictive, adrenaline rush I had with al so I try to avoid going,Shambles, congrats on 10 days,you sound like a completely different person now,Jackie,sorry about the tooth I hate the dentist, hello to everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their Wednesday
