    Reincarnation - you're coming back as....

    Weirdly (yep, you all have me marked as weird now I know), this is my kids' absolute favorite topic of conversation, so I thought I'd try it as a thread.

    When I die, I'm coming back as a domestic cat in a house with an Aga (oil fired range kitchen stove on which said cat sleeps all day).

    BECAUSE = There is no better life.

    My 3 kids say they are coming back as snow leopards (cool & beautiful), dolphins (clever and free) and great white sharks (NO KNOWN PREDATOR AND SCARY)

    You may have deeper insights to offer. I hope so! We are a shallow lot in my house.

    I'm gonna be a tree. A big one with deep roots. Countless branches seemingly haphazard yet absolute perfection in their quest to reach for the light... My leaves love being tickled by rain drops, the drops that my roots wait patiently for to quench their thirst for life and growth... small animals find shelter and comfort and even food in me and I love that... my favorite part of the day is when my great-great-great-great granddaughter from that life I had as a woman comes to sit under my branches and dream..........

                  ZIN - PLEASE stay away from my tree!!!! I have a cockroach phobia that is so pervasive I'm sure it will stay with me through many reincarnations!!

                          I want to come back as a giraffe.........I like the way they glide around, and have to adopt 'silliest stance of the year' to bend down to have a drink...I also like the idea of being taller than every other buggar

                            Melon was a tall girraffe,
                            her neck tall and slim
                            but her knees were awfully bandy
                            and her legs were rather thin

                            she was very good at standing still
                            and munching shoots off trees
                            but when she tried to run around
                            she buckled at the knees

                            (start of Giraffes can't dance....a book that the boy that I look after absolutely LOVES to bits!!)
