Good Morning, Army!!!:happy2: It's 5:31 AM here in Wisconsin and no one is awake on the Steppers' Thread so I thought I would come over here for a bit. LOL. Had a frightening dream last night about my family confronting me about my drinking. This nightmare was worse than any drinking dream I've had. Ah, but since I'm sober, I can blow it off. It's supposed to be sunny and warm here today. My Gratitude List has already started. :-) Waves of hellos to all the lovely people here. xoxo Rustyredlocks
WAIT! It's only 8:33 pm in OZ.:yay: Think I'll go find Reggie and Mr. G. A little male attention, yeah, I think that's what I need. See you all later. Hahahaha

Hey Molly, yeah, sorry about the x-post. Everything is well with me...I was thinking that a lot of the things we learn here on MWO can be used for non-alcoholics/addicts as well....like the use of a Gratitude List. It has really helped me when negative thoughts pop into my head, and I think it could help my friend who has a special needs son since his non-stop care plunges her into the depths of depression. Those negative thoughts are such triggers for drinking and if you're not/were not a drinker, than they just lead you to sitting on the pity pot/toilet. Just thinking!
Great to see you, Molly!

Molly---no, I am not following the World Cup...but Samoans, oooohhhhh, bronze bods everywhere. Maybe I'll have a look. I'm sure Reggie and Mr. G will be very relieved that I've taken my sinful mind somewhere else.
You know who I miss here at MWO? Chillgirl. When I would talk like this on the Monthly Abs Thread, she would say, "Rusty, you are awfully frisky today!!!" LOL

I hope your ear improves, Rox. That sounds very painful .
The positive outcomes from experiencing and overcoming addiction were discussed recently in the NN. There is something to be said for examining your life! I've read some really interesting articles about post-traumatic GROWTH (as opposed to stress). In many ways this captures what I think many of us have experienced.
Here's a summary:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posttraumatic_growth
